June Pants Sew Along // Helen's Closet Patterns Sewing Tutorial

Watch as I sew an easy, practical, everyday pair of elastic waist pants. I've also added the optional pockets and a drawstring for even more perfection. ❤️ No zippers or buttons -- just a easy-to-wear pull-on pant! I am using the June Shorts and Pants pattern by Helen's Closet (link below).
I'll show you how I've constructed this garment from start to finish -- including the key details such as the pocket additions, elastic insertion, and drawstring finishes.
This design is made for woven fabric. Light to medium weight woven fabrics with no stretch. Linen, cotton (lawn, poplin, voile, batiste, seersucker, shirting, chambray, quilting cotton, flannel), hemp, rayon/viscose challis or poplin, and Tencel will work well. Structured fabric will have more dramatic volume and drapier fabrics will have more fluid movement. I have used a lovely orange linen.
