I know I'm late to comment, but thanks for the memories! We did that same excursion in 2017. There were no dogs, but there were 4 black bears hanging around the lodge. A Grandma, a Mom and two cubs.

The Taku Glacier Lodge is an awesome place to travel to, flying over 2 or 3 glaciers by Sea plane, then having a fresh Salmon lunch with some 'amazing' black beans. Cruised along the 'Inside Passage' on the Celebrity Millennium in 2012.

I live in Juneau AK And I have a cabin up the taku river and go there every weekend in the spring,summer and,fall and go moose hunting up there. I love it and think of it as my second home.

We are still trying to figure this out I met a couple great channels last night and gained 7 subscribers went to bed feeling accomplished then woke up and lost 7 subscribers just don't get it but still just need to have fun! Really did enjoy your video waiting for Ron to get home and show him. I always find a few Gems that we want to watch together. This is our first trip to Alaska we want to enjoy the boat and the ports and wasn't on the excursions but you really tempted us. We have done a few helicopter tours in Hawaii so we may need to add this one. Loved your filming, editing and you were entertaining. Looking forward to more.

Hi! Thank you! We booked this one through Carnival, but you can definitely book it directly through the company Wings Airways as I’m sure it’ll be cheaper. Carnival was $460 per adult and our daughter was free. The whole tour was probably around 3-4 hours.

I just saw this and we’re thinking about doing the same excursion with our toddler now! How loud was it on the plane? My little one is terrible about keeping headphones on!

It was really loud! It is a really cool excursion and your toddler will be free, so that’s a bonus! Our daughter was napping going, but on the way back she kept the headphones on.

It was $106 for us 2 adults. For a normal ski lift we understand the price, but this ride only takes you up to one viewpoint lol. We bought tickets when we arrived, but you can buy through the cruise line. Check and see how much they’re charging since excursions booked through them are usually more.

Thanks I went online it appears that they aren’t taking reservations during the month of October but I will try calling them, I will also try for a helicopter tour but i would prefer the seaplane because I took helicopter lessons years ago and have never been on a seaplane, your daughter is a little pumpkin 🎃.😀 safe travels thanks 🙏🏽 for the info

We definitely recommend a seaplane! Awesome experience. This specific excursion would be cheaper if you book directly through the company, “Wings Airways.”

@@barrettosontheloose I get it. I was there way back in 1991 in August and we didnt see the sun until the day before we went home. It was dreary but fortunately the helicopter flight or the float plane didn't get cancelled. I did different float plane trip back then. Just went into the mountains and landed on a lake then back up and landed on another lake before we had lunch. Looking forward to seeing the glaciers this time. Awesome video you did!!
