Hunt Onyx will do that for you. It will show property lines and who owns the property as well. You can walk where someone wants to cut a new road or driveway and turn on the tracking and it will show you exactly where you walked. Save that track and blow it up and just follow that line as you make the road. You can use it to find Sq footage and acreage. I use it every day when clearing for a road or to watch where I'm at in relation to the property lines etc. It was designed for hunters but its pretty handy for this stuff as well. I love it.

Enjoyed the video as usual. I've been watching your past videos and your getting a lot more comfortable and confident with your equipment. I can't tell but if you don't have a brush guard on the top of the 313 you should get one. Those pines are bad about dropping limbs especially the big ones. I can tell you from experience it happens fast and the will get in the cab with you. So stay safe out there. Oh yeah man I can't wait till you start running your Dozer! I know you can't wait either LOL. Hope all that rain Fri night don't set up back much. Keep up the great work. I'm Praying for You Bro. GOD Bless You and Your Family!!

Thanks a lot brother. This machine doesn't have the brush guard. You're right. Pines are really bad about that. I need to look on my roof and see if it has the pre drilled holes for one. I would have to do without the sunroof lol. The rain made it a mess of course. It's slowly drying out.
@jimmytew9468 Жыл бұрын
As far as the sun roof I don't know how it opens but you might be able to fab a brush guard that will allow you to use the sun roof. It's something to think about. It's just measuring and welding. But you really do need a guard on top that's where all of my close calls came from.

You got some good vids! I subscribed a couple weeks ago. I do similar work on a smaller scale. Still working a day job but running on the weekends. Finally hitting the point I’m about ready to go out on my own. I’ve got a Skidsteer with a mulcher and grapple and bucket. I know an excavator is going to be the next step. Thanks for the great videos!! Keep it up!

Thanks brother. I'll give you a follow. An excavator will take you to the next level for sure. Not many people around here want mulching. But guys get into it then go out of business within a year or 2. Some places mulching is preferred and best.

So you are really doing the kinda work I’ve been trying to do. I have a 6 ton excavator and a skid steer. I’ve also got a mulcher with my skid steer. The question I have is do you bid by the job on everything? That’s where I’m struggling. I tend to play it safe and bid day rates on everything. It doesn’t scare everyone away but I’m sure it does for some but I don’t want to lose my butt. Any pointers?
@smithworx1091 Жыл бұрын
Dude I suck at bidding. I just try to give a high and low estimate of what I think it'll take by the hour. I know most guys do a day rate though. If you think you're losing money then just up your rate a little. If you're getting every job then you're too low. A smart man told me you need to be around 50/50.
@ryanpappas6208 Жыл бұрын
@@smithworx1091 well that’s kind of encouraging. I assumed most bid by the job. I used to give hourly rates but customers would nit pick every hour so I just went to day rates on each piece of equipment to make it simpler. I assume it would be beneficial to figure out a job estimate though.
