Its also basically the same plot as the second anaconda movie. -in anaconda theres a flower that could possibly heal any disease and even bring immortality (instead of a plant, jungle cruise changes to a tree -the exploration team goes to amazonas -the captain of the boat has a pet, In anaconda it's a monkey and In jungle cruise it's a giant killer cat -the two paths that they must choose in the river (it's even the same split path river) -the waterfall, but, while in anaconda they didn't managed to get away from it and ended up starting a chain of events that eventually killed most of the crew by a giant snake and the scientist, jungle cruise managed to don't do that. -the indigine tribe, in anaconda they are all dead when the rest of the crew arrive and thanks to that the crew made a wooden boat, was betrayed by the scientist guy that run away with the boat to get the flower, while jungle cruise the tribe is alive and help them. -both of the plants can only blooms when the requirements are completed, while the flower in anaconda only blooms each few decades, the tree in jungle cruise only blooms by Making that damn puzzle. -both films end with the surviving crew (the whole crew in case of jungle cruise) having to go home in a shitty boat, while jungle cruise is just a destroyed boat, in anaconda it's just a wooden plataform

@@imibee5184 Maybe it's kind of an American millennial thing? We tend to wrap our erm, tragedy, in humor. We joke often about suicide. Not because it isnt serious, but because it is. I bet someday a psychologist will write an awesome thesis on what we do to cope lol. And that's not to give any value to our suffering over different locations or different generations. I just mention it because I can see how that could sound trite to a Brazillian. Like he's making fun of the tragedy of the country instead of taking it serious. He is, but its wrapped up differently, specifically to sound not serious. If that makes sense. Bless be to you and yours.

I really really thought (and wanted) Lili to save the Conquistadors. After all, all he wanted to do was to save his daughter. There was literally no other goal for them but to release the curse so they could move on.

They did become murderers and slaughtered many of the villagers when they tried to take the Arrowhead. Just because he was trying to save his daughter doesn't give him justification to slaughter innocent people. Being left to suffer for all eternity is a fitting punishment for all murderers.

@@leoncoben6983 yeah, he was a villain for sure slaughtering the tribe. But after 400 years, his only motivation for anything is to break the curse and cease existing. Seems like a win win. You are putting petty revenge over the greater good. Who to say, they won't be resurrected 100 (or less) years later, by the river changing course, etc. and then becoming a problem again for the local population. It's just kicking the can down the road, for someone else to deal with.
