I’m curious- do scorpions contain meat like a crab/lobster would? Or are they just enjoying it for the crunch of the exoskeleton? Also what does it taste like? Those who eat scorpions say their very little meat tastes quite similar to shrimp. The exoskeleton makes up the greater part of the 'snack', have to be eaten, so nothing is wasted.

Emperor scorpions! I had one for a pet. It was an awesome pet. They cost a lot of money now and hard to get in USA. Hard for me to believe they are eaten elsewhere.

These aren't emperor scorpions. Emperor scorpions are from Africa. I had one too, many years ago. At around 15-20 years ago they were $25, now you would be very lucky to find one for $250, they stopped exporting emperor scorpions because of over collecting for the pet trade made them threatened in their natural habitat. Which is why we need to have people captive breeding these animals. I currently have an Asian forest scorpion who I will be breeding so we have more captive bred specimens in the hobby. Also so the same thing doesn't happen to them as did the emperor scorps. The scorps in the video are also species of Asian forest scorpion. I know this because they are in Asia, not Africa. Also the telson (stinger) or an emperor scorpion is red.

I have this exact species as a pet. This made me a little sad for those beautiful scorpions. The centipede one was hard for me to watch to too. As much as I respect their ability to live off the land those ones hit home for me lol. I also have a pet giant centipede named Valhalla who I love dearly.
