Complete agonizing pain. Yet fortunately Sonic's always been a strong-willed sort, fighting through the pain of the cyber corruption at full burst. Yet it did have severe recoil, making Sonic pass out afterwards, even in Super state. And showing how completely dinged up his body is after that forceful display of sheer unrestrained power.

Honestly it sucks that Roger isn't given the chance to "go all out" with his voice for Sonic. His work in Dying Light was fantastic, especially when it came to moments of pain and suffering. Seems like a problem towards the Dub's Voice Director.

The initial cyber corruption completion scene was REALLY well done in the English version, he sounded a lot more like he was in pain. But for this scream? Yeah I can see why people prefer Jinuchi’s version.

Sonic's regular voice sounds very odd since Forces, a lot of voice cracks. It's either the voice direction or just Stachel's age showing. He sounded a lot better in Sonic X, Generations and Lost World. But his growls still sound nice.

Probably just me, but I always felt that Kanemaru was the underdog of *all* Sonic VAs. He’s been voicing the character for so long that he might as well be the main actor that comes to mind whenever people bring up Roger, Jason, Drummond, etc.

I like how in this one its protrayed as sonic's cyber corruption us actually hurting him and he pushes through with it with his mastered abilities with the koco in the japanese version his scream proves that this form can be powerful to the point of exhaust or damage him it kinda acts as like hes fighting his corruption tyrning him into evil entity trying not make it take a toll on him giving the fangs and the fleetway like eyes The english version seems like hes already experienced with the corruption power through out the main story from kronos to rhea and that when he gets the cyber corruption consumes him in his super form he doesnt scream when hes spazzing out it pretty much acts that its a very agreesive form sonic and tires him out when push through his limit also i cannot help that his scream does not fit well with sonic i can watch the whole thing normally without even thinking about how it sounds and its still looks raw but if im focused on the scream itself i hate to say it but he sounds like god damn robin from teen titans go im pretty sure there other voice clips of sonic in past games where he roger does do a cool scream like that but i dont think it exists because previous sonic games dont have him doing this alot of his grunting sounds are very short in previous sonic games no disrespect to roger though i still like his take as sonic even though some of stuff the make him say are off character i even think that his take in frontiers are really great as well (Damn this comment is too long)

Kanemaru. Very appreciated. 👌 I honestly like this more due to the screaming. So just- hear me out. When it came to Sonic unleashing his full power, it looks PAINFUL so to hear nothing in the English version of this scene feels off. Especially when Roger is speaking about how he's going all out. I don't really get that feeling. It feels kinda dum down, like the dude doesn't want to raise his voice too high. Which. Fair. When I voice a dramatic scream, that shit hurts. But it feels off. I like this cause not only can you SEE the pain Sonic is putting into his body, you can now HEAR the pain his body is in. It adds this layer of seriousness and power that's being utilized in this form. And I LOVE IT!!!

Roger Craig Smith’s Sonic deep voice sounds different in Frontiers. He sounds more like a mature hedgehog, I think. To me, his voice role is not that bad. Junchi Kanemaru’s Sonic voice sounds exactly the same as before. He's truly the Sonic I know. The same hedgehog loves going on adventures. Kanemaru’s voice of Sonic truly nails it as always and it fits perfectly! Speaking Engrish, laughs, playful, fun, serious, and adventure-loving. This is why I love Junichi Kanemaru’s Sonic the most! His screams also fit perfectly well like it felt so real even when he was cyber corrupted in Frontiers. Kanemaru is THE best Sonic ever! 💙🥰

Gonna admit, I beat this on Switch with JP voices. As expected JP Seiyuu never disappointed me even SA1 (1998) cast (RIP Ohsuka Chikao/Old Eggman CV) still hold up miraculously. Glad that Sonic Team did hire some Modern Seiyuu and the Legendary one like Hayashibara-san voice as Sage was an honored. Sadly, Translated Main story JP script by the game director need to polish more. For this DLC, I think they did extra miles for it.
