That was great, no ailerons and you still nailed that one-wheel landing. What a great beach to fly from. The first shot of Junior looked uncovered....and then you took off.

I cracked up at the way you lined up the music with the wheel falling off. Hats off to you sir

Beautiful!! I just ordered a Junior 60 short kit. Where are you mounting the battery pack?
@SlopeRCGliders6 жыл бұрын
ytdhable thank you. I changed the bulkheads slightly and use a 3s 2200 lipo. It sits vertically in a compartment up against the front bulkhead. It doesn’t need any extra lead to balance

Hi John I am currently in the middle of the Junior 60 build from a Ben Buckle plan, and considering how beautifully yours flys, did you make any changes to the wing / tail incidences?
@SlopeRCGliders5 жыл бұрын
Trev740 hi there, mine was made from a Ben Buckle kit and was built as per the plan. The wing does have a lot of incidence, so it pitches up with too much throttle. It very relaxing to fly once you get the feel for the style of flying. You don’t need to use the elevator at all but just gently add more or less throttle to make it climb, or descend. I did try a transmitter mix, to add down elevator with the application of throttle. It made it fly more conventional but it seemed like you could easily overload the airframe, as you could go full throttle on the level, and it really picks up speed.

John could you please tell me the power set up you have used? By the way landing with one wheel = very cool
@SlopeRCGliders7 жыл бұрын
Jason stephen hi there, I am using a Propdrive 35-36 1800kv motor, 60amp speed controller and a 3 cell 2200mah lipo. It will happily take off on about quarter throttle with this setup.

@@SlopeRCGliders John, what prop are you using with this set up? Thanks!

dsdemer sorry, I sold this aircraft a few years ago and can’t remember what prop I was using.

Something wrong with KZbin software the title of this (above) is "Helicopters from all over the world # 1 // Homemade helicopters" weird.
