I grew up listening to country, Ernest Tubbs, Chet Atkins, George Jones, Hank, Willy and Waylon, but why did it take me so long to hear about Jr. Brown? I can't believe the way he plays that guitar! A friend who plays told me to look him up on my pc, I couldn't stop smiling and tapping my foot. Where have you been Jr.? I can listen to you doing "Highway Patrol" and my whole day gets better. I'd been a fan for a few years while I was in the Navy, stationed in San Diego, when I moved back to Okla. City I reconnected with my older brother, who it turns out, knows Junior really well from his time in the live music scene in Oklahoma City & Tulsa. Junior comes by his talent genetically, both his parents are/were music teachers at Rogers State University, Claremore, OK. He began playing when he was 3-4 years old, created the Guit-Steel that he plays. Spent time with Gary P. Nunn (London Homesick Blues/Austin City Limits theme song) as one of the Bunkhouse Boys. Been told that he's a funny sob, along with talented as a mofo. I hope to get a chance to meet him one day.
