Hi! Did you go selflearned or course or school? Im 30+ and just quit my toxic, going nowhere, super stressful job and been swallowing every UX video I can find, and the UX industry sounds super interesting and lines up what I want in life.

I self learned, I did a degree in architecture and so I was familiar with design software and then worked as a graphic designer which made the transition easier - however I know it’s possible to get into UX without that design experience and so would be happy to help if anyone wants to chat

Forgot to mention...Michael, I assume when you mentioned the unique format you were referring to the initial recap followed by a deeper dive, is that correct? I actually like that 👍 what I would like to see is your deeper insights presented in a more scannable, infographics-style layout to make it more engaging. A clearer text hierarchy would improve that tremendously. Nice work, I am grocery-obsessed so it was great to see another approach.

Covid voice? Oh, dear. My family is in the Netherlands and I heard there were a lot of cases in Europe, but the younger members seem to take this in stride lol. Regarding the video, you touched on the fact that your advice to Michael, who is research-focused, was very similar to what you advised me to work on - "be more holistic in your approach to the problem." I have now had over a month to revisit my research and absorb the full meaning of those words. It is amazing how my project is changing as I have engaged stakeholders from the supply side as well as the actual vendors who will use the product to support their brick-and-mortar efforts. Hearing basically the identical advice to a Junior UX researcher drives home the absolute: before you start to design you must FULLY understand the problem, your users, and the context.
