Kylie, I so appreciate how you invite us in to your whole journey - the ups and the downs. By sharing your feelings and thoughts about how your project is progressing - and by persevering when your piece is in a middle stage that is not pleasing to you - you teach and encourage me more than you may know - not just about art techniques - but also about life. Your art always comes through the challenging stages to beautiful fruition. Your use of materials always inspires me. Thanks for taking us on the journey!

Hi Kylie - thanks for sharing this project. Your advice - to just carry even if you are not sure if you like the way something is going - is spot on, as these turned out so well in the end. I was going to destash a bottle of the glitter Mod Podge I haven't used in forever, but I think I will reconsider, as I love the effect on your embellishments.

Thanks Shelley. I have no idea why the glitter mod podge came into mind because as I said I am not really a glitter user - but I have to say looking at them now I really like how they turned out. Hi Joy - thanks for your kind comment and thank you also for the feedback. Thankfully I realised myself that they were going to be difficult to see and I slipped in a piece of paper that I thought would help. Enjoyed this so much, you have inspired me to try this, I do so many different crafty, glue, beads sewing and paint etc. projects already….( like you lots of bits and bobs and scrap left over And I cannot bear to throw even the tiniest of them away!) thus beautiful and fun idea,just really appealed to me as fun. ( and like shopping from my stash of bits, instead of spending money or using gasoline to look at the stores or online!💪🏻💕) I am Thinking that a fun mobile to pop in a card for my mom’s baby sister. (Momma passed 10 years ago. And I just found out that my aunt, her sister) at 87 is not well…. I Hoping this might cheer her up as she hopefully will get her health back… She lives so far away, that a weekly phone call, some cheerful cards (or a little package now and then)…is all I can afford to do. …You are so interesting in your comments, as you think a lot like me, and I have made some of the very same comments to myself, while working on my projects. …I came here via Nina’s link. And have decided that both of you Would be lovely people to know and learn from. I am in a whole another country , and hardly get out of my house lately… so visiting and learning, with creators like you two, really makes my week…. Thank you very much!

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful comment. The mobile that you mentioned sounds wonderful and I hope your aunt is well enough to enjoy it. @KylieCooStudio4 жыл бұрын
Hi Cass - thanks for your kind comment. I think that when I first started to use ink pads I just happened to buy the Stazon and I've always liked it - it's permanent and it dries quite quickly so I find both of those points to be real benefits for me. Hope that helps :)

Hi Kylie, these turned out just beautiful. I think you lost your original direction, which I also loved, when you added too much cheese cloth. It covered up too much of the background items. Just a little bit of cheese cloth peeking out from your center pieces would have been better, so we could have still seen the stamps, etc. Still, you recovered and ended up with something different but just a lovely. As others said, you are the artist. You can do things however you wish. Even though you felt that you had lost your way, you recovered beautifully! So, job well done!
@KylieCooStudio4 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for your kind comment Nell and I think you are right that it was the cheese cloth that through me. I've used it hundreds of times before but I didn't stop and think through the scale of it to the background, especially in terms of the little points of interest in the background. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
