Hi Kylie! Your vid was in my scroll (haha-that’s an unintentional pun) I clicked on your video because I enjoy watching you create. I had to stay because you were so cold! The cold is not my favorite either. I hope you warmed up. I love these coincidences that fall into place when we art - the indigo. The piece came together beautifully and magically! Thank you for being here! Persevere is a wonderful message. To me, It is far better to creatively live our own dream and find others along the way who resonate than to work for money to fulfill the dreams of a selfish rich person who corrupts the planet. Love the colour combo of the inks…I’m going to go and get the sepia and indigo today! I really liked the touches of bright colours, so maybe that’s how you can make friends with them…used sparingly with your usual palette. Love the scroll idea!

Pauses to think. I think that’s what you have…not procrastinations. I’ve never seen you come unprepared to your art on a video. Procrastinating, to my mind, is coming to a project unprepared. It helps in my art to watch your pauses to think. 😊

It’s going to be an interesting project! I like the idea of a scroll of “Notes to Self”. It can be a subtle annal of the year. It was fascinating to watch how “flamboyant” just did not work and you came out the other side with a piece that was subdued and moody. I noticed when you said “where is my pin?” I have had that pin disappear too many times, and it really is important to get it back into the glue bottle promptly. I finally came up with what I feel is a brilliant remedy. I tied a piece of red embroidery floss around the top of the pin and now it is a lot harder for it to fade into the woodwork, so to speak.

Kylie hello I’m new to your channel. I’m wanting to learn about raised embossing techniques for use on tags and also I did not know what you meant by using wax, so that would be a great video as well. Thank you and Happy New Year 2025!!

This a fun way to end the journal, which I have gotten a lot of enjoyment from all year. I have never had such a chunky joirnal sitting on my desk! Have fun redding up your studio. The last time I let mine get really bad I found all sorts of interesting things when I tidied up! Hopeyour cold is mild and clears up fast. Interesting side note: when I’m at my desk doing art my hip is quiEt. I think it’s because the pressure is all on my ischial tuberosities (The sitz bones) and not on the joint. I’m grateful and it’s a good motivation to be creative. Happy new year! Looking forward to the next project.
