I will have to make a journal with old books and old papers...not using the decorative papers and such. I can't say that I have ever truly made a "junk" journal, but you've inspired me to give it a try. I have old children's books and flower books so that is a great start. Thank you for the inspiration.

Loving this series.......for dry wipes I also use the sheets that you use in the washing machine to stop the colours running......once I’ve used them in the washing machine I let them dry out and then use them as a dry wipe for crafting. 😊💕

This episode reminded me of how a few simple steps can lead to a gorgeous spread! It's also ok to put a piece of decoration aside because sometimes it's just not the right one for the spread you are on. Don't force it. Love how it came out, very pretty. I'm looking forward to the next video in the series.

Hi Tina, the books you are using are so cute. I was thinking about the doily. If one doesn’t have a doily you can cut just copy paper. When when we were kids we used to fold paper and cut out what we called snowflakes. Now I would coffee/tea dye it or distress it with the distress ink. I’m totally loving this series. It’s truely making me think about the basics. Hugs 🤗

For any newbies in the U.S. watching you can get doilies from Dollar Tree for $1 for a package that have quite a few in it- I think it's 32 in a pack. You can also get a jar of instant coffee there as well to do some coffee dyed papers. This journal is adorable and just shows what you can do with just a few items.

Just something to be aware of in our world. . .there are people that are handicapped, so this little fairy girl could have been born without part of her arm. We need to include those special needs of our citizens, after all, they are people, too. I don't want to sound as if I'm giving a lecture, but as a retired school teacher, I want the special needs of others to be addressed. The pictures you are using are adorable, Tina. I like using black and white illustrations sometimes also. It can be a challenge.

Hiya Tina! Hope you and yours are doing well. I wanted to ask you if you had ever thought too make like a stringy paper weight thingy? Kind of like the beads that people in the museums will use to hole the book open while looking or reading the antique books. Maybe have two heavy items that are fairly heavy and attach the string or cord from one to the other, and then set the weights on each side, while the cord is holding down the pages, so you could decorate without having too use bigger things that leave no room? I don't know, it was just a quick thought. But I think I might make one for myself, because I can see where it could handy for projects ;-)
