Interesting way to bind the journals. Looks easier than hand sewing through the stitches (my usual method), to connect each section.

It was pretty easy actually and you can use fun embroidery threads and beads if you wanted!

I save them too! I make black and white ones by opening the envelopes and turning them inside out and re-gluing them. I overlap the flaps to make a double page. There are so many different patterns of security envelops and get excited when I find an unusual one. How sad is that 🤣😂. I think your idea of stenciling them would really pop and look awesome! Thanks!

That drill is next level book binding! My rule for using junk mail is it goes in the recycling bag and if I don't use it when the bag is full, it goes to the recycle bin. Otherwise it becomes Hoarder-ville!

Hey Summy, it's just an in and out stitch, nothing special but it works!

I use old envelopes and peel them apart, turn inside out making a black and white pocket journal attaching the flaps together to make a double page and bind them in the middle. You will be surprised how many different pattern of security envelopes there are. I get excited when I find an unusual one 🤣😂. So sad!!! I store them by size. I think I’m a craft hoarder 😂. Adding your idea of colorful stencils would look very cool! Thanks for the history, love that!
