I could just hug you. I am a 55yr new grandmother. I sew, knit and crochet. A couple years back I upgraded to an embroidery machine and love it. My first grand was born last July and just last month I started quilting 😍😍 and last week I purchased a Cricut maker and then Procreate. @@brianna1638 It is a lot of information delivered quite fast but having the ability to pause and replay a section, many times if necessary, makes this tutorial such a valuable tool.

@@brianna1638 Because each chapter is clearly labelled its easy to replay and go back to anything as and when you need to. It’s best to watch a little at a time, then as Lisa suggests, pause and play/experiment for a bit. I have a neurological illness and can’t process too much info at once so as i watched I made notes and paused, and then about half way thru when i started to feel swamped i stopped. Once I’d played and practiced each skill I went back to the tutorial and continued watching. We learn best when we actually physically try out a skill. Listening and watching aren’t enough for the majority of learners. (I’m a teacher) so playing with the skills - without having the aim of producing anything - will help your brain to understand and retain new information. Hope this helps as this really is one of the best introductions to Procreate I’ve watched.

I just got a new IPAD PRO w/pencil in order to learn and practice drawing. I have dementia and art/drawing is a proven way to help ones brain f;unction a little better. The instructor is easy to understand and I can see when she activates a setting - others do it much to fast for me. I learn by repetition and playing back her video is so helpful. After I get more familiar with Procreate I hope to go on her website for drawing helps. Mrs Bardot is a great instructor.

Lisa is an excellent teacher - there’s no unnecessary long winded intro/info, each chapter/skill is clearly labelled so you can go back easily if you miss something or don’t understand it first time, or want to pause and try it out. I can't tell you how helpful your videos are. I'm an old salt with Photoshop editing but I'm just starting out with Procreate and using a pencil to actually create art. This is a great tutorial covering procreate soup to nuts and without too much extra. You'll want to pause, rewind and replay often. Much better IMHO than hearing word filler and needing to skip through...! Thank you so much for this!

Just wanted to say something that might be helpful to other people that were struggling with the same thing. I combined a couple of pieces of advice from this video. I was really struggling with adding curved text to an image in Procreate; I found that the warp tool just made it look funky. So instead, I created curved or wrapped text in word, took a photo, inserted the photo into procreate, and then did the "select and clear" function that she talks about to just leave the text and get rid of the background. Hope this might be helpful to someone else!

Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge, and doing so in a clear and fun way. I have a question regarding the transform tool. I find that when I change a shape, whether it's uniform, or distort or warp, the image loses sharpness of edges. What starts as a clean crisp edge becomes pixelated with each transformation. It even happens when the resolution/dpi is set at 300 or higher. Is there a way around this so that the shapes retain their resolution quality? Thanks so much for your help.
