Never buy highly worn 90% like that. When you sell to a dealer, 90% is bought by weight. You purchase at face value. Shop elsewhere.

Just bought my first constitutional coins....Kennedy, Franklin, and Walking Liberty half dollars. I might be hooked 😂 So much so that Im thinking of adjustment my stack to 40% ASEs, 20% Maples, 20% Scottsdale bars, 10% Constitutional, and 10% gold. Right now Im stacking at about $600 per month

The diversity of Junk silver, Rounds and bars will make their use at a retail store impossible. . Weight, purity and authenticity will have to be determined of each one, at PM dealer. . All theses types will have to be made into Minted coins at a 10 to 30% melting fee. Did you really save money buying Junk silver? . Silver Eagles and 5 oz America the Beautiful will take you to the head of any checkout line. . Absolutely no one will trade away their silver eagles for Junk silver. . Junk silver would have worked for your Grandmother's time.

Rounds and Bars do not have to be honored at a retail store for currency. Only minted coins will be honored. The mint has made the .999 purity the standard for the next generation minted coin.

As far as I am concerned silver should be $1000 an ounce. I also think it will happen but I don't want the paper currency for it I would rather just trade them. On a side note be very careful identifying coin replicas from China. I been seeing a lot of them including even Franklin and walking half dollars.

The generic Rounds and Junk silver. There are so many weights, sizes and purity's that a retail store can not deal with. They offer no standards in units, $1- $5- $10 - $20. . Les than 2 percent of people own Precocious Metals. . 1oz minted coins have the weight and purity stamped on them. America the Beautiful 5 oz has weight and purity stamped on them. . No one is going to trade the silver ealge for junk sikver, . Junk silver would have worked for your Grand mo the,

Do you weigh the constitutional silver when you buy it from a local dealer? Many of these older coins are worn down so they will actually have less weight and therefore we will get paid less when we go to sell it. If the coin dealer is selling strictly by nominal ace value, then he might be skimming us since he knows we are getting less actual silver weight than we expect.

1921 Morgans you can find cheaply, because they made frikin boatloads of them. Find rare dates and collect them. At what point do you start buying, spot wise? Check out Ted Butler's latest commentary. Apparently, new managers at the CFTC are FINALLY starting to do something about the manipulation of the silver market. Spot prices may change soon.

If I got to have cash in a hurry, I know that every coin store, or pawn shop will buy my constitutional silver usually no questions asked. And I get to hold on to my .999 fine silver bullion. I have trouble calling it anything but junk silver. We called it that for so long!! The first time I ever heard constitutional silver was on KZbin. Also, somewhere along the line, tarnish became toning!! ;-)

Well Tractor Man, the belief some people have is that paper money is not going to stand the test of time. That one day the only thing that will be recognized as having value is silver and gold along with some other metals. And since few people know what a silver round is or have any idea how much a silver panda coin is worth, "junk silver" as you call it, will be a logical choice to use instead. Constitutional silver is the most recognizable coinage that there is. A walking liberty half is known world wide. There's probably more Morgan silver dollars being stacked in England than you would believe. American constitutional (90% silver) is the most sought after coinage that there is. Don't take my word for it. Just a short search and you will discover, as I did, that "junk" is treasure. Keep stacking

When I purchase silver from coin sellers online I give the name of the dealer or company. However, I don't give the name or the location of my LCS because to do so would reveal the location of my city or town and where I shop for silver. When it comes to where spot price will end up, really the sky is the limit. When you factor in the fact that the world is a much bigger economy now. More people world wide can and do invest in precious metals, one can easily invision a scenario where gold and silver become the safest place to store wealth.
