"It just has to make sense to the maker, and when people see it they'll draw from what they think it is." Hey, when you're right, you're right. I definitely needed to hear that. Thank you!

I love this a bunch! It reminds me of the kind of ship you'd see in the pages of Heavy Metal magazine. A lot of their comics had a very 'loose' graphic style to them where you could tell the artist was more about mood than being the best artist. I could see something like this in the background of a sci-fi B movie.

That's a delightful comment, I try to put mood into my builds and my videos

Great video dude. I watched it sped up a bit because the video pace was a little slow. I really liked how different your space ship was and how it took inspiration from a sea ship thing. I think this got recommended to me because I rewatched one of Bill Making Stuff's ship videos.

Maybe you should rename your video, how to make Junker Spaceship from musical instrument; 7:18 🤣 Anyway, great result. I've never tried kit bashing, in fact I haven't made a model since preteen years and I'm 50 now; but it's always fascinating to watch the miracle of how random shapes can be turned into something like a convincing looking spaceship.

I started with a white base, then dry brushed a sandy yellow in. Then I shadowed the outside with a gold flake antique paint.

I love bill and knarb! Both have great channels and great creativity. Ive taken a ton of notes on the lessons that Adam Savage had handed us all free of charge over the past 20 years. He in my opinion is the grandfather of makers
