Two-door cars are sporty-er they're lighter that makes them faster. I think of a four-door as grandfather's car or grandmother's car. And if you drive a four door car you must have children.
@alshotrodsandratrods87805 жыл бұрын
Most cars were designed as 2 door cars. The design is compromised by adding two extra doors. 4 doors are getting more popular in the states because they cost a lot less than a 2 door.

For Alex and Melissa and family My Dad used to have a wrecking yard around Georgian Bay Ontario from 1964-1969 or maybe a bit earlier. It is nice to see these classic cars again. We would have a lot of cars from the 50's; also a wooden panel truck, an army truck etc. We had 124 acres but we used about two farmer fields for the cars. He used the cars for parts and then would get the guy to come from Barrie and crush them when they were stripped. Sometimes I think it would have been "neat" to have kept the hood ornaments. I think they would be worth a lot. This video brings back good memories. The business is probably still running today; by somebody else of course. It it on a rural road not far from town. We moved to the Queen Charlotte Islands in the fall of 1969. We have moved since. I am back in Ontario; most of my family is on Vancouver Island, so I enjoyed your videos of that as well and passed them on to the family as well. Good halibut and chips on the Fisherman's Wharf in Victoria where you where. Going for a visit this spring and plan to go there again. It will be worth it.

Back in the 50’s most police departments used 2 door sedans for cruisers. That 1958 Chev, 2 dr sedan would be the perfect vehicle to restore as a place car. Use a 283 c.i.d., 2 barrel with 3 speed on the column and you have the perfect cruiser. I restored a 1959 Chevy Biscayne as a Maryland State Police patrol car. It won every car show that I entered it in. Great fun😎

But when I do get the chance I always have: gloves, snake shields, mosquito spray, flashlights, and a stick to poke around at things. Oh yeah, a ziploc bag too, I periodically dig out enough loose change (and a few bill$) from under seats, nooks, and crannies to pay for some gas and sometimes a modest lunch.
