When you said that about your Dad and you walking around wrecking yards like this, it reminded me of all the times my ex-husband and I used to go to wrecking yards and walk around the cars, looking at the potential that existed in them, and wondering about the life they lived. We would buy sandwiches and make a day of it. Currently, I am rebuilding a 1983 Pontiac Firebird. Ironically, I caught my house on fire with it back in 2005 while working on it. It will one day again see the road soon. It's currently in the body shop. Good memories.

I'm 62 yrs old now and looking back it makes me so happy to know I came up in the greatest era for cars ever. Yfeah, motor oil runs in my veins. Had some fantastic cars over the years, back when they were just popular cars, now most of them would bring a small fortune if I had em to sell, lol... Had a 66 mustang I paid $195.00 at a used car lot, bet ya cant do that today. They make some nice cars today but I just don't see any of them ever making it to collector car status in the future. Parts become obsolete way too quick these days.....

There's a story in every one of those old vehicles, some interesting, some not, but all of them make you wonder as you wander around looking. Lots of people interest in looking at old vehicles - museums or junkyards or just fields full of a lifetime of collecting cars. One thing I'm realizing as I see these videos and see how lucky I am now that I'm getting up in years. I've been wondering what to do with all my collected stuff - nothing compared to what the owners of these fields of cars have. And that gives me hope that I can sort through what sometimes seems like a hopeless task. Looking at these videos with fields full of a lifetime of collected vehicles makes me appreciate what a small job I've got ahead of me compared to what these guys are faced with as they get old. Nice videos. Thanls.

When I was a kid my grandpa had over 200 cars sitting in a field at his farm. It used to be a corn field before then. I live in the Appalachians, so when you were on the other side of the valley on a sunny day, you could see the sunlight sparkling off of the cars in the field. It was a big wide valley too so it was just awesome. I used to go down there all the time and pretend the cars were alive, and I'd talk to them. Sadly, by the time I was 13 he had most of them crushed. :(

Was a big yard at Scotland SD. Own by King Zigler. He fell down his steps one night broke his neck. It killed him. They sold out his yard. 30s up cars and trucks. He ran sheep in his yard to keep brush cleared out. Spring you see family's walking thru the yard like it was a city park. Just looking at the old memories of the old cars and trucks held for them. Well there all gone now along with King.

How come Canada doesn't make cars? Big country, long roads, you'd think they would make cars instead of buying them all from the U.S. Same thing with Mexico for that matter. Curious.

Only the second video I watched from your channel, and subscribed. When I was younger, I loved going to Heavy Metal Wreckers out past Trochu. Back in the 80's-90's, very reasonable prices, if you pulled your own parts. Acres of old cars, out in a pasture. $20 for a wrap around rear window for the 57 Dodge 100, handful of trim and a tail light for the '67 Dart GT $30. Those days are long gone. I'll have to check out your web site. Thanks for the invite to your shop. I'll keep that in mind.

People always complain about guys like him for letting cars like these sit, but I am insanely grateful. Without him, all these cars would be gone. Better to let them sit here then get crushed. I really hope to own a bunch cars like this someday too. I don't know what I'd do with all of them, but they sure do look cool all lined up like that.

What this guy is going to do is keep thinking something good is going to happen to those vehicles when in actuality they are just rusting into the ground. I always feel like it is a shame when a guy like this amasses a bunch of old vehicles and then lets them rot away. Neither he nor his pal from curiosity incorporated is doing anyone a favor by making a vague reference to where these cars are rather than helping someone to be able to buy from this old joker. These kind of shows are just a waste of energy.

ALOT... Time and Money. You have to enjoy it or it's a ball and chain. Watch TV rebuilds. Cheap and dirty. Painting over rust and building engines and drive trains on the cheap is done alot. If your ok with that you can cut cost and time down alot. Your call. Alot times you can buy them done cheaper than you can do it yourself. But how well are they done? Your call once again.
