video was scripted and recorded before hotfix, pretty annoying, rushed the editing at 08:47 too. hotfix changes the risk/reward a decent amount, but the lucio stuff is still interesting in terms of who's better at controlling the space etc.

I don't think it makes any sense for hyper ring to be worse than Lucio amp, when Lucio has constant speed and Juno only has speed on a cool down. I think once her speed probably rivals Lucio's then it forces interesting choices between whether you want speed and healing potential, or speed and disruption

Biggest difference is that Juno can speed teamates from distance while Lucio has to be standing directly next to your team. That means you do not need to death ball as much with Juno and she can enable the tank or individual targets with speed without putting herself in immediate risk. I wouldn’t say she is as good as Lucio, mainly because her stats are not good right now, and she needs overall buffs. But her speed is just a different type of usage and has a boatload of Potential. I can see Juno working very well with distribution tanks like doomfist and wrecking ball. Where she could pre aim torpedos into a ball slam or doomfist dive and help ball or doom secure picks.

Lucio can heal through defense matrix. Juno cannot. It’s a defense matrix meta and only hero’s that can have anything go through dm are viable. It’s miserable

As a flex support player i have NEVER felt like i was a catalyst in rush comps. Playing Juno in the correct situations has increased my average rank by a lot but she needs to be able to shoot while using torpedoes

After playing with her for since launch I've been trying to figure out what her play style is and where she gets her value, for me I've been having more success pocketing tanks than anything else, especially when paired with poke and dive comps, popping the speed ring for the tank in fights works wonders and whilst diving with the tank you can automatically reduce focus off your tank whilst also adding abit of crowed control with her torpedoes, shes great at switching between the front and back lines which is what her shields are for and she's just great at burst healing too. Everything else is pretty niche because she's not over powered with damaging but great at finishing off enemies and her torpedoes can turn the fight around if your whole team is half health, her ultimate is mainly used to push choke points or hold open areas.

Juno is suffering from LW syndrome where you just healbot but this time it feels like the opposite of how she should be played. Her extreme mobility is wasted on sitting in the back, which also makes her more heal-intensive because her falloff means you don’t deal shit to enemies. I guess we just wait for her legendary skin so Blizzard feels incentive to give her some changes.

Juno isnt bad. Shes a good and balanced design support in a game filled almost to the brim with really badly designed/power crept supports. Shes not bad on her own, but shes bad COMPARED to the other supports that most would consider a problem. Juno not being so oppressive and immediatly strong is better than getting another kiri or illari situation.

that is why balancing ishard for ow player, they can only think of 1 thing and never the other. And again, B devs are trash First of, if you give Juno HS which I AGREE. You have to consider her deadly potential to kill because of GLIDE + Torpedo, that mean if she can HS, she actually can be quite a threat to squishy/backline hero as she basically torpedo +glide in and HS the ana= dead. That is why when you make these change you need to consider that posibility 2nd, Juno is garbage like in the video said she doesnt offer anything better than the rest of cast. Her abilities sound fun on paper but actually garbage. IDK why they give her a bland torpedo, bland ring, when she could have more better EVEN MORE UNIQUE ABILITY SUCH AS GRANT SHIELD, GRANT ARMOR, ETC any effect we havent seen b4, instead they went with this bland design 3rd, her gun feels so underwhelming and less reward with these dumb burst fire. There is nothing good about Juno with 0 instant heal, no save, she is a healbot. Also Kiri is not bad , njot at all while she is squisher now. The damage increase brings back the threshold which make her quite dangerous dps wise again

Im sorry but, i have a 70% winrate with 30 hours on juno, im on gm 3 now about to hit gm 2, im a little confused cause i feel like she is powerful, she is probably the best follow up support, when it comes to confirming kills she is the best, the speed boost is so good with so many characters, and you can change between heal and damage depending on the comp, she can destroy hitscans with mercy pockets by doing the rocket shoot combo and killing either the mercy or keeping the pocketed target low hp, she can help confirm so so many kills yet people are sleeping on her, i think she is a wrecking ball of support, people are overreacting rn, because 30 hours, and 70% winrate in gm lobbies is very high in my opinion... and i just feel like if someone else plays juno is just an insta loose people play her so horribly, give her time, youll see she is doing really well.

supports are just wayyyyyy overtuned right now imo, like why is lucio getting buffed when the support role has been the most powerful role in the game since ow2 released. Idc that kiriko got nerfed, now lucio is gonna be running lobbies with his dps-like damage output and his insane amount of utility. All the support mains are getting easy sr meanwhile the tank/dps players have to take the blame for losses at lower elo even though a majority of the time its the performance of your supports that determines if you win or lose the most. Like I cannot fathom that people actually still play mercy and basically throw lobbies when you have heros like kiriko, lucio and baptiste that can both heal for large amounts, have critially important utility and have better survivability than mercy. If you play mercy in comp at any level right now you are basically actively saying "im content only being a healbot and not trying to do more for my team".

I disagree with some of the stamens about juno, Lucio has to choose between speeding or healing when be Amp and juno can do both at the same time. Her hyper ring is on a shorter cool down and can be deployed at range while keeping your self save and her ult I better that Lucio
