JunoTech! First day trolling with Juno gameplay

It's just some quickplay games, but wanted to test out the capabilities of this new hero to be released in Season 12! She's INCREDIBLY fun, quite technical but new players could also have a lot of fun with her!

remember back in 2019 when everyone was like "we wanted Echo to be a support!!!! what the heck!!" that's what she feels like. If Echo was a support hero. so fun :)

Had the same thought - Echo was planned as a support, but then converted to DPS. My feeling is that Juno is the scrapped support version of Echo.

It's just quickplay, this is not how you should be playing her... But I have to test certain limitations to refine it later on, so that means a whole lot of trolling for now!

The speed ring doesn’t seem to speed you up that much? She seems like she was supposed to be dps originally then changed her kit a bit

Tests were done, gives a 50% speed buff. Speed boosts cap at 75%, btw.

If you’re entering the hyper ring while you’re gliding, it won’t feel fast because her glide already has 50% speed boost. It’s actually quite fast.

I think everyone from the start of ow2 onwards wanna have this argument, but if you think about it, supports are just dps that have the side job to heal.

Knew you would like her when I first went on quick play. I was like “Arx might be impressed by theses abilities” I like the double jump tbh out of everything that’s a cool feature especially for a support no doubt.

wow so i haven't watched the full video but im playing around in practice and when Juno's healing her bullets will still damage enemies behind your ally?!?

I believe they work like Ana. You shoot through your allies unless they need healing, then it will heal and not go through them.

Considering this is first day, you nailed her abilities right away. One thing I noticed is that you don't need to go through the ring to get faster, the ring is only for your teammates, you get faster automatically when pushing the button. I could be wrong tho.

You do, but I think it reapplies the speed when it runs out if you go back through it

No you are right but it happens to your teammates too, the momento you throw it it gives allies speed too, just they needo to be really near you. Its like a proyectile that if goes through them it gives them speed even befores passing through the ring

She has a really cool kit from when I played shortly (The game server died and this Sombra was hard focusing me so I couldn't do much), but given she needs aim to do what she needs to do most effectively... Sadly she isn't for me 😭

I HATE HER!!! If this thing get implemented on ranked I'll stop playing OW, she is fun now for it is new, but I've seen how OP she actually is, you don't want to play against june+pharah, also, the burst sound of this gun of hers is so annoying, 5 minute-game being healed by juno will give you a headache.

She is fun to play indeed. But, my problem is that.. she is almost all of the support heros in one. She does everything, really. She can jump and shoot like Bap, her shots damage and heal like Ana, she can speed boost like Lucio, she can go far with her movement abilities like Kiriko, her missiles can heal and damage heros through other heros like Moira's coal, her missiles make her have a small heal over time like Moira's healing spray, her Ult acts like Zen's Ult + Mercy's damage boost.. Its insane! Not only it's insane but also.. quite uninspiring.

I really don't see how she does everything. Like, all the comparisons you gave except Ana's shots are REALLY surface-level. She can't replace an Ana if you need anti-nade. She is not as survivable as Moira or Bap. Her vertical mobility is fairly lackluster, compared to Bap and Kiriko, or even a Moira that can fadejump well. She can't headshot for high damage. She is also the only support besides Zen that has no way to self-heal. You could make a similar "does everything" comparison with other heroes. Let's look at release Kiriko. She can escape while invulnerable like Moira can. She can deal high damage with headshots like Bap. She can heal from really far away like Ana can. She can speedbost with her Ult like Lucio can. I think the main criticism you could levy at Juno is that she is the first support that *adds* nothing to the table, relative to other supports. 1. Ana on release had anti-nade and sleep. 2. Moira had Fade and really strong AoE heals. 3. Bap had his field and AoE healing at range. Jump boots could also be considered fairly unique. 4. Kiriko had cleanse, teleport and wall climb. 5. Lifeweaver had pull and platform. 6. Illiari had a pylon for turret-like healing. Juno has absolutely nothing that only she can do. I think her closest thing to a "unique" mechanic are her missiles. It think that may be a natural consequence of there being so many support heroes now. It's a bit disappointing, but I think her kit is still interesting and, mostly importantly, fun. I do wish her vertical mobility was better, though.
