Toyota MR2 SW20 Model Car Full Build Step By Step (FUJIMI)

Hey guys, in today's video I will be building a 1/24 scale SW20 Toyota MR2 model car. This kit was made by FUJIMI in 1990 so it's an old kit which had been discontinued long ago. I believe FUJIMI was the only company that made the MR2 back in the days. I was only able to find this one on eBay(and I have been looking for a white). I wish these vintage Japanese model car kits can be reproduced by their manufactures as I am sure there are many car modelers that are really interested in getting their hands on one. The showroom "out-of-the-box" look is just better than over modifying IMO, unless the modification is either subtle, or well done. Great outcome from a kit from 1990, you should try motorbikes or scooter kits, just a 1/12 scale, nothing major. Keep modelling and have fun! So therapeutic!

Thank you Thomas❤️ I was surprised to see window masks like these, too. While these are less convenient than the sticker type of masks Aoshima provides for theirs builders, it’s definitely better than not having anything.

What's interesting is that those wheels are way bigger than 14 inches to scale (which is what they were). They're closer to 15's or 16's. And the offset is lower both front and rear. I WISH this is the fitment they had from the factory. Looks great.

I have a question that has probably been asked many times I’ve seen ur tutorials on how to make seatbelts, lower, and add camber to the builds but is there a way to add the stretched tire look or extreme camber and still make the build drivable??? Other then that I absolutely love ur videos!!
