Junsu Marathon Pt. 1 - Dracula, X Song, Pit a Pat, Xiahtic, and more!! Composer's Honest Reaction

Wow. I never expected to see an hour length Junsu reaction video. Thank you so much. Junsu really shows his acting talent at the highest level in Dracula. He is known as inhuman character master in Korea 😄 Because his most legendary roles are non-human or lunatic charachters like Death, Dracula, L and Dorian Gray. She is a song included to the musical because Junsu felt the obsession of Dracula towards Mina doesn't make sense in the original storyline and asked to Frank Wildhorn if he can include a song about Dracula and Mina's backstory. The story of Elizabeth (Mina in the past life) was his idea. Not only this one. He gave many ideas. The red hair of Dracula, the setting of the stage at It's Over and Mina's Seduction. He even brought stage equipments with his own money. To be honest, it wouldn't be a lie to say he is the non-official co-producer of this musical. Loving You Keeps Me Alive is not my favorite song either. However i can understand why Koreans love this song so much. It feels like a classic Korean ballad with beautiful lyrics. The lyrics of the Korean version is 10x better than the original one actually. Junsu sings this song with very exploding emotions and it fits his voice very well. Nevertheless, if it was me i'd recommend you Fresh Blood, Mina's Seduction or It's Over instead of Loving You Keeps Me Alive. I love The Longer I Live too. The performance is more impactful on the actual musical set. Nice reaction! I have loved Xiahtic since it came out. Junsu wrote it and compose it, which is maybe why he included a little keyboard solo :) It's a pity that he lost the rights to this song, both in Korean and in Japanese. I really like singing to the Japanese one (though no Key in that one). Considering their schedule back in those days, I'm surprised any of them had time to be composing any songs at all, and I'm kinda glad the choreo wasn't much crazy. They all had to learn tons of choreo for their Mirotic Tour, as well as their Secret Code Tour in Japan, which happened basically back to back, and both discographies were vastly different, with only Mirotic and Purple Line being in both tours, if I remember correctly, so it was mostly new songs in both tours. I feel really bad for them, yet they were so professional, and Junsu really loved performing Xiahtic! Wish he could have sung it more times ❤

I have to take off my hat to you. It’s one thing for us hard core Junsu fans to watch Junsu for HOURS lol but I imagine it’s quite a task/chore for another person to have to sit through a lot of material (liked or not). Even in the same fandom we have different tastes, some songs that delight others make us cringe and vice versa. So thank you again and again for indulging us. You are like our Santa Claus making Christmas come early! I’m also glad that you can be honest about performances you don’t like so that at least when you say you are enjoying a song it feels genuine. Being a hard core Junsu’s Dracula fan one thing that hit me was that there are A LOT of different versions of Loving You Keeps Me Alive sang by Junsu and I agree that tempo in this version is very slow. It probably would have been better for you to see the version uploaded on JYJ official YT channel if you were listening to it for the first time. It’s a little bit easier on the ears for the first time 😊 And I have immediately picked up that the lyrics you were reading to Loving You ..are totally incorrect. I think they are from the English production of Dracula. The lyrics re-written for the Korean version of this song are quite different. (even if you read the subs on the vid you played you can tell the difference). They have more depth and emotion. BUT yes, YOU would totally get a cavity from reading the full version because they are “saccharine” sweet lol so I don’t have the heart to ask you to listen to another version or to find proper lyrics for the Korean version. Dracula has so many different numbers and I keep changing my mind which ones are my fave from day to day lol. What I really loved about your reaction is that your marathon consisted of Junsu “through the years” - baby Junsu emulating MJ with his fun Xiahtic, the musical actor with Dracula and the seasoned performer still bouncing around on stage just few months ago with very respectable choreo moves. I am so pleased you commented on the quality of his voice. Junsu singing live is my ult enjoyment. Thank you for making us so happy. ❤

OMG YESSSSSSSSS Edit: Oh, PLEASE react to his weverse concert performance🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Thank you so much for reacting to our Junsu❤ Edit 2: Please, react to Junsu's new song. It's called "Our Season" and the lyrics is very touching. I felt very nostalgic while translating it into Spanish. It's supposed to be a song for the youth, but I'm in my 30s and I felt very, very, nostalgic myself. Edit 3: The lyrics of Loving you Keeps me Alive you reacted to were the English ones btw (: it doesn't matter if you react to another version or not but i strongly advice you look for the correct translation, it's much better than the English one. Also, She was included in the musical because of Junsu's idea. He wanted to give some context about why Dracula loved Mina so much so the audience would fully understand. And I would also like to recommend the latest LYKMA (you can see how his performance of the song has changed in these 10 years since the first Dracula). Junsu has really mastered Dracula's feelings.

10:00 The man who killed her means war itself, not a specific person. Dracula fought in the religious war with all her might for God's sake. But during the war, Elizabeth died. Dracula asked God to spare her because she fought with all her loyalty. But the request was ignored and he became angry and inserted a sword into the cross. Thank you for your interest in JUNSU (I'm Korean and can't speak English, so I used a translator. Sorry if the sentence is awkward😂But I wanted to explain it to you because if I know the exact story, I can watch the video more interestingly.😊)

Thank you, as always, for your reactions to Junsu ❤. To be honest, The Longer I Live is one of my favs, that performance is amazing! The thing about Junsu's singing (one of the many things 😂) is how he tells a story and compels you to listen. Even if there are no subtitles, you UNDERSTAND. Many singers have great techniques but lack how to connect to the audience through emotions. A singer (any artist) has to work as a mirror and as an open door to audience and Junsu does that (sometimes just with his facial expressions). You can tell right away that he's there and only there. One of a kind!!!!! Looking forward to the 2nd part :)

I like that number very much (though my favourite is still The Last Dance from Elizabeth’s musical) but it’s always good to learn things compared to a broader spectrum.
