"Experience the breathtaking sight of Jupiter Inlet's mighty waves as they crash against the shore. Despite the challenging conditions with gusty winds reaching up to 30 mph, only one boat dared to brave the waves. Meanwhile, a skilled kite surfer took advantage of the strong winds to ride the waves with ease. Witness the thrilling action and be captivated by the power of nature in this incredible display of courage and skill."

That beach is ENORMOUS compared to years ago. The beach used to be so much smaller that the road washed out a couple of times. There used to be 2 roads, they replaced it with 1 road. Also there is a metal seawall next to the cement you're walking on. The sand used to be so low that metal was more than 6' high, over my head, but now it's completely submerged under the sand. So they put a LOT of sand there over the years. For boaters; this inlet builds shoal on the north side. The safest passage on a rough day is to come up from the south close to the beach and hug the rocks on the south side as you come in the inlet. You can do the same on the north side if the shoal isn't too bad. Going strait out is a rough soupy ride.

Exactly at 7:08, just to the right of the yellow caterpillar you catch a glimpse of the statue of the man and woman looking out over the inlet. That's in honor of Perry Cohen and Austin Stephanos, two kids who went out the inlet on a rough day and vanished. They found the boat up near Daytona, the boys bodies were never recovered.

Back in the late 90s when I lived in Surfside Beach they were doing the beach rejuvenation by sucking sand offshore and putting it on shore. We found some really huge shark teeth that I still have to this day.

My old home! Can't wait to move back down south. I will be getting ahold of your wifey soon! Probably by the end of the month. The way things are looking. When you see the rainbows. Hint, Hint! Lol! I will be on my way soon enough! Wait for it!

Love this video Alfred! I have a question. Where did they get the large rocks from that are protecting the shore on both sides of the inlet? I KNOW that Florida doesn’t have granite in that quantity. How far did they have to truck all of those huge boulders from?🧐🇨🇦

They bring those boulders in on big barges. From places that have large amounts of big boulders. Of course, they bring them in and do the work in more favorable weather conditions....

@@straybullitt I was just wondering from which state and how long it took to get them there.

@Randall Caldwell I watch another channel that is tow boat related, and sometimes see barges filled with large boulders. I don't know where they come from, only that they are being transported down the Mississippi River. The best I can do is narrow it down to any state north of Florida, and east of the Rockies. 🤷‍♂️
