What issue Bloodstained really highlighted imo with metroidvania like this is that you don't need all those souls/shards. I would take less souls but have them be more balanced, often it feels like some souls are either useless or straight up downgrade. Also i don't mind gears and souls being behind some grinding but sometimes it feels ridiculous unless you're end game ngl. But maybe it's just me not liking excessive grinding idk

These games work better in the context of multiple shorter playthroughs, or in randos. If 100% is what you go for, a lot of stuff ends up useless. The game is poorly balanced for 100%, but works better if you just keep going and use whatever the game gives you by RNG, imo. Altair might not be worth using when you have lightning doll, but its the best you've got until the game says otherwise.

A great indie Metroidvania i've played that nobody seems to have heard of is Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth. The protagonist has the same walk cycle and similar animations to Alucard, which I think is very fun, but there's an interesting mechanic in the game that really requires some thinking for basic encounters and especially boss fights. The movement in the game is extremely fun, use of magic is a basic, regular part of gameplay, the game rewards you for not taking any damage, and it's overall a solid experience I'd recommend to any Metroidvania fan. EDIT: I typed this less than a minute before he mentions it in the video lol

I emulated Order of Ecclesia and Dawn of Sorrows couple years ago. Funny thing is i had to use normal controls to use "touch screen" stuff like breaking ice ect.

que juego tan patetico, no se sabe si se esta jugando CONTRA, CASTLEVANIA O MEGAMAN, Castlevania usando lasers y pistola? tremenda estupidez, no me sorprende que con este juego sepultaron la franquicia y por eso se busco un Reebot con Lord of Shadows, se perdió toda la esencia de lo que era un Castlevania

El rifle de positrones y las demás armas de fuego son objetos ocultos o que te encuentras muy cerca del final del juego en estos juegos metroidvanias. Las armas más comunes siguen siendo blancas.
