The Metroid Fusion MARS randomizer is still in alpha! This is a very early access build for testing and feedback purposes that is still under heavy development. There is currently no scheduled release from the development team.

@@WhiplashPuppet possibly, I know theirs a lot of coding involved, but modding Metroid fusion with MAGE (Metroid Advanced Game Editor or something) It can easily be changed in the room header

@@MaxxiDiego_yt You need a rom (provided by you and only you.) The Metroid fusion randomizer MFOR (this one is not out yet) and currently MFOR is only supported for windows (possibly Linux and macOS) as far as I know. And to play the randomized game you need an emulator, which is easily gotten on android but IPhone users have to do way more complicated processes. I also recommend retro arch as your emulator.

21 minutes in, and I feel the need to note that, in the MARS rando, you can toggle items on & off. I learnt this courtesy of watching (part of) Hercules BenchPress' stream yesterday.

I already liked a lot MFOR and MARS feels even more polished. A little complain I had on MFOR was that early sectors were often stacked with mandatory upgrades and made it that you only had to go through 1/4 of the game content. On MARS, the possibilities seems almost endless. I'm very excited to try MARS when it releases! :D

IM SO GLAD THIS HAPPENED!! I was so excited when the new randomizer update released and I was kinda dissapointed it only added tube shuffle and pallete shuffle, but I was still happy, but all of this is SO NICE!! Edit: Watching more of this and I always wondered why it included the locations for the leveled locks, and I always wanted them to be shuffled with the items, I am so happy!!! Edit 2: Just realized this is not MFOR, but Im still glad this is being made! This will clearly be superior to MFOR for now

Imagine a hard mode Super Metroid randomizer where they chunk down the number of Missile Tanks by making you get a 'Missile Data' for every tank, and cut the number of missiles you get in half.

Do you only tick the energy tank and missile icon when you find all of them? Because it bothers me to see then un ticked Also seeing every thing but blue hatches unlocked made me think "we may trust you with our millitary grade secrets but you CANNOT enter the broom closet"

Where did you get this for MARS? Keep in mind, you are not only one who test it. Hercules BenchPress does upload few more MARS video than you do. So why you two only have it? It isn't fair for both of you have it while nobody can have it.

4:03 Just HOW many times did you die there?!? jeeze, a sector 2 start is no joke... a couple of things I remember from Hercules BenchPress' stream from yesterday... You CAN set it so baby metroids are not on bosses,it's just the seeds seen on YT so far have them on bosses. Ice+Wave is broken as it'll either just freeze or do Damage+Freeze depending on how it hits and Plasma makes it even more broken, as in, It will two-three shot SA-X form one and Super quick kill the omega metroid. This one I'm not sure about but the version before MARS, there was a bug where Diffison Missles would just outright give you all the others and if this is using the same randovaina engine, That stacking bug is still there. Random Start will make sure you have the tools to get out, either by placing the items in easy to get locations or just outright giving them to you,which is why You got the Morph ball right at the start.

I agree that fusion is the most difficult Metroid all around but I’d say that zero mission is although easier, has some very important knowledge checks that if you don’t know then you get killed but that’s just my opinion.

fun fact: MARS stands for: Metroid Advance Randomizer System also you can always save somewhere then go into the pause/map menu and press L to return to ship (yes they removed standby mode for warp in MARS), it will send you back to the ship with the upgrades you saved previously to avoid softlocks better! Sector5 ARC will never be "destroyed" and stays as a hybrid of fixed and broken, also upper area of the big room at the beginning of sector5 ARC has running space for the top check! so never be worried about ravaged ARC

I always thought itd be nice if wave beam had two beams alternating, with a similar spread of what is shown here, but converging into one beam in that sort of pattern (basically what it does when it is charged) . That way the effectiveness of the beam is maintained, it doesnt encroach too much on wave beam and kind of gives a range akin to charge beam. Really, charge beam doesnt need that kind of exclusive niche with its spread.

That L Warp would be extremely useful in Super Metroid Map rando. No more saving after a one way door to find out the item to progress and return wasn't on the area you crosses even if you got to explore half the map
