I think they're technically impressive,but the idea of a dinosaur that turns into another dinosaur doesn't make a lot of sense. It's flawed on the concept level. I mean,it would make more sense if they were like dinosaurs that mutated into stronger dinos. Like the T-Rex becoming the Indominus Rex. Swap out the head,some color changing plastic,it'd work really well. For those who don't know,color changing plastic and paint have been a thing since the 80s at least. Some things change color when they get warm,get wet,or stick 'em in sunlight. It was a neat effect and one I think has been underused. They've recently started using it again,so you may find things that use it in stores. But yeah,it's neat and all but I'm just not interested. This set is destined for the "what were they thinking" bin.

Yeah, an improved Dino Damage line, with this style would work nicely. It is fun and novel in hand, fun to switch back and forth. As for its ability to last, probably just one series I suspect.
