Whether one feels its box office success was deserved or not, Jurassic World brought back the franchise and still led to great content such as the Mattel toys, the first three seasons of Camp Cretaceous & Chaos Theory, the Evolution games, and hopefully JP: Survival and Rebirth in the coming months. While I still contend Fallen Kingdom and Dominion have their moments, I too wish they had been better thought out and executed.

Honestly, in my opinion, the theatrical cut of Doninion is insanely awful, and the extended version is somehow decent. Not saying is super good or anything, but I honestly cannot comprehend how the producers thought cutting all that was even remotely a good idea. It isn’t good or great, but decent is a pretty huge leap from the quality of the theatrical cut. My opinion’s probably pretty skewed though, after watching so many videos of people talk about ACTUALLY BAD MOVIES, of which even the theatrical cut of Dominion looks alright by comparison.

A thing about jwd that i like(in my opinion) is that zeb the giga acted like an actual animal. Living in its home, fighting over food with rexy...but then the giga got forced out of his home cuz of the fire...then killed for no reason.

Honestly I love Jurassic World 2015 it felt modern and loved seeing the park opened and running The attractions, guests, kids with dino toys, petting zoo, mosasaurus live feeding show It was all cool to see But tbh I didn't really care for Owen and Claire's romance I just couldn't bring myself to like them as much as I love Alan, Ellie and Ian I did like how Owen is a badass but they really had to constantly tell us audiences Like we know he is stop telling us he is lmao Zach and Grey are worthy main kid characters but not into why they were in Jurassic World Why they are there cause they're parents are getting a divorce I know divorce is hard but what has that got to do with the plot nothing The parents show up in the end and it's not indicated they're getting back together the boys aren't even mentioned in the later movies if the parents had joined in the park to search for them over time they start to have feelings for each other again oh yeah wait hasn't that arc already done in JP 3 So it would've been better if the boys were sent there cause they didn't get along and going to the park to visit they're aunt was a way for them to bond A quick side story that's not as deep as a divorce but a side story nonetheless Cause a chase through the island and working together would for sure make two brothers get along

I actually disagree on Owen Grady, he seems like military dog handler guy I knew in Coronado that had decent intelligence. He seems like that guy but then they send that guy to Stanford where he studies zoology. But the raptors you’re right on.

I still will never forgive this franchise for making herbivores look like fodder for the “cooler” theropods. It’s plain stupid. That scene where Ankylosaurus swung its tail at Indom would’ve killed her, if not absolutely shatter every bone in her lower jaw and make her go into shock. I’m just glad Colin Craparrow’s gone after he almost tried to remove Therizinosaurus from dominion simply because it was a herbivore.

At the very worst, fallen kingdom and Jurassic park 3 are the kind of movie you'd watch while on holiday after a long hectic day of sightseeing and want a quick yuck. Jurassic world is a bombastic thrill ride, lost world is plain awesome, and Jurassic park is obviously the sweetest apple on the tree. Dominion however is just Meta MCU style humour, flat moments, unneeded callbacks and doesn't offer anything interesting. In fact dominion is even worse than boring, it's actually annoying.

The raptors switching and obeying was something that turned me off in this movie. You don't create a completely different animal that can verbally communicate with another completely different animal just because you included DNA of the other while making that animal. It makes zero sense. To me it sounds like toddler logic and no longer has the appearance of real science. Besides...the base DNA behind indominus was that of T Rex...not raptors. The raptor chase and the pterosaur attack on the park is where it started to get ridiculous to me, then some action movie style end fight/team up to kill the indominus was the cherry on top of clown world.

I find World enjoyable, but not very memorable. I would like Fallen Kingdom much more, if it didn't have all those goofy moments (Franklins scream or his and Zia's cringe personalities, Owen rolling away from the Lava as if it was a slapstick movie, the Indoraptor smiling...). The movie didn't take itself serious at all, and that doesn't fit Jurassic imo. As for Dominion, I thought it would be very emotional for me, seeing the old crew together, but I didn't feel anything after the credits. The movie was so meaningless and dumb... No dinosaur scene mattered, it was too much of everything. No scene could "breathe"... And then the overall problem of the characters being so stereotypical and cliché to the point they aren't believable people anymore. But on the other hand treating the dinosaurs themselves as heroes with almost human traits. Rebirth is giving me hope so far, but I would appreciate, if it won't include another big bad fighting scene at the end.

Animals do make expressions that can look like a smile, and there was cut scene explaining how the indoraptor learned to do that. I don't see enough people talking about the TV shows, which in my opinion are better than the Jurassic world trilogy in terms of character writing.

NO. the film ended the EXACT SAME WAY fallen kingdom did. - the biosyn infiltration plot between ellie and alan was not interesting at all. biosyn was VERY obviously an evil company. you didn’t have to put the puzzle pieces together to figure out they were evil. so when ellie and alan find the locusts, we just think “oh my god!! i didn’t know this would happen at all!!” - the locusts really overshadowed the dinosaurs to a point where it got really annoying. - the dialogue felt very forced at times. and that one scene of dodgson hitting his chair like a child? come on i could get that from my toddler brother and he would do it the EXACT SAME way dodgson did it in the film. now i’m not saying it’s the worst movie i’ve ever seen. it has merits. for one? claire was actually damn good in the movie. her character was written way better than owen in this movie. and that giganotosaurus design? way overhated, i love that giga design. and the prologue? awesome. i wish they kept it in the theatrical cut

Jurassic World is terrible under every aspect: the CGI is bad, the actors and their characters are bad, the plot does not make any sense and requires forcing characters to act stupid to go on (like people entering the I. rex enclosure without even bothering to check her tracking GPS thing in the huge screen literally in front of them), and the dinosaurs are jist some dumb movie monsters wanting to kill anything that moves without even thinking about it.

Yeah keep telling yourself that. Aside from Chris Pratt and campy script writing most of actors played their characters very well but were heavily underutilized. For example, a course argument Simon Masrani between Vic Hoskins to weaponize these beasts for monetary compensation would've been great. It'd further reflect on the Park Owner's naiveté that encapsulated John Hammond's own mistakes. Or look at the dichotomy between Vic and Owen--two soldiers with different agendas could've went band for band in one scene, naturally showcasing on Owen Grady's combat skills as an ex-marine.

Or the discount John Hammond that didn't care about the well being of the animals in the park but we were supposed to be sad for, or the military guy that wanted to use dinosaurs as weapons in a world where guns and drones exist.
