The boat shakes as it’s following you. Then, when it seems like the Indominus has you trapped, the boat stops... Then... *STOMP* *STOMP* *STOMP* The T-Rex lunges out of the darkness and the boat makes the big drop

I still don’t understand why they don’t have dinosaurs running toward us or alongside us. The track can be hidden by plants. Simple. I figured it out 20 years ago. It’s been done on a smaller scale with a walking Belle, Olaf and others. And I can’t believe the stupid ceiling-dinosaurs still slide on a visible belly-track with strobe lighting cues. The older version was better. Though the screens at the beginning are a cool effect it just seems cheap. The animatronics were so more immersive and the opening of the Jurassic parks gates was an iconic moment on the ride. Also as stated in other comments the countdown in the old version really built suspense

In the old ride, the opening of the gates and the music playing forcibly put a smile on my face. It was not only nostalgic, but it was inspiring. I really felt like I was in Jurassic Park. Kinda disappointed in the new ride when I look back on how great it used to be. Still looks fun and well made, just not as great as the original.

As someone who has been to Universal in Florida many, many times, this is disappointing. The origional was maybe 8/10, I preferred the raft or log rides over it but still, was fun. This? AJ you clearly have never been to universal, the cues have about ten TVs in then so your busy their, the kind kong ride is just a 2 massive 3D screens, and a lot of the actual visuals in the other rides are made with the screens, like the Harry potter ride and the transformer ride. And I mean they literally have a show to show of how they do special effects and stuff with props......... and I mean water world Is full of that stuff

I think just changing the ride to make it Jurassic World was a huge mistake. In my opinion they should have kept the Jurassic Park ride and started from scratch with a whole new ride for Jurassic World. Its not like Universal couldnt afford two rides for the jurassic franchise.

The reason they changed it is because the Jurassic Park name is owned partially by the estate of the author of the book Michael Crichton. The Jurassic World name is strictly owned by Universal, meaning they no longer have to split profits. That's the only reason any of this happened.

I remember waiting more than 3 hours in line when this first opened back in the 90's as the original Jurrasic Park Ride. My nephew and his friend were about 7 or 8 yrs old and they were acting tough the entire time we were in line about how this ride was not gonna scare them. They did ok until that T-Rex at the end when my nephew turned to me and started bawling his eyes out and screaming that he wanted off the ride. I lmao and told him it was too late, to suck it up and hold on! Once we got off the ride and into the gift shop I asked the boys if they wanted to ride it again and they both turned ghostly pale, looked at each other, and vehemently shook their heads no! I still bust up with laughter when I think about it! 😆

@@dreamsofturtles1828 Oh, I'm sure they did! The best part was my niece was 4 or 5 and she giggled when the T-rex flew out at us and then laughed while we plummeted down the long drop. She wanted to ride it again! 😆 She's always been an adrenaline junky. We took her to Disneyland when she was 18 months old. Took her on Pirates and The Haunted Mansion. We had to hold her down because she wanted to stand up and laugh on both drops on Pirates and tried to squeeze out of our Doom Buggy on the Mansion so she could play with the ghosts!🤣
