Juri Aristocrats vs. Light-Paws Auras [Duel Commander-EDH] - Magic: The Gathering

Quite nice seeing you folks play Juri again ! For the matchup, it's not really easy you either get killed really fast by the fox, or Juri gets out of control, but white auras has usually more answers. Game 1, slamming Bob was probably better than Juri on T2. Playing Juri with not much of a follow up synergy is really rough, avoid it if possible. Game 2, maybe there was a line where you put Juri under the Jailer then, chain the jailer, attack with your other creature get back monarch and Juri, while still having played Judith. Next turn you have Juri being sacced to kill Light paws and in response to the protection spell sac your 2 other creatures. Untap rez juri give it haste sac enough lands to gargadon (probably all of them) swing for 15 win the game. Seemed like a better plan but the line is a bit convoluted. Anyhow I hope you enjoyed the deck !

Juri is more tricky than one would think indeed! I guess kinky mentally gave up already, once the Mask entered the field xD

Because its matchups are super polarized, so it's not great for competitve unless you wanna luck your way with pairings, but you won't only face RDW and rakdos That's also what make this commander not that interesting to watch nor play

First of all, big fan of your videos, I'm grateful for all uploads. But I have some questions for Light-Paws player - BR is very easy matchup, so it didnt matter, but when we were playing it in my test group, we always went for Flickering Ward with 1CMC auras as long as LP was protected for the turn so we can return it and get more auras. In the third game you went for Ethereal Armor when you could easily went for Ward and two more 1CMC auras. You'd be in much safer position.

The Enchantment that gives protection against the rakdos color just destroyed the gameplay lmao. Although always a great video!

Thanks! If I get there, it's hard for Juri. But as you saw in both games, Juri has a lot of ways to disrupt the fox :D

what are your thoughts on jetmir, nexus of revels? is marath or minsc simply better as a naya commander? i really like the go-wide plan but i also feel like the card is 'win more' Id love to hear what you think about him ^^

To be honest, I don't see a fit for him in any deck besides Jinnie Fay. I wouldn't play him as a stand-alone commander, the abilities are way too cute :D
