The BU was what solidified my status as an ARMY. I was so intrigued and impressed by the elaborate world building across multiple types of content. I had never seen any musicians do that before. Add the fact that there were theories out there to decipher the storyline... my nerdy self was hooked!

there’s so many stories of new army thinking the members stories from the bu are real lol. likes a few baby army thought the story of hoseok’s mom abandoning him was real 😭 bro back in the day we used to scrap for sh!t to barely put the pieces together. like now we have videos like this that can just give you the basics bc we’ve come so far. everything was confusing as hell nothing made sense and we had to resort to scales basically bc it was so complicated and a lot till this day the story haven’t even ended

Do they really believe that this happened, or is it either being overwhelmed or sabotaging HYYH? And the story's not finished, we just gotta hang in there and keep puzzling away. Hail to all members in the Bighit's creativity team. This is the most successful and dynamic ways of telling a story (other labels had tried to copy this idea but far from successful as Bighit/BTS). I believe they started everything with a brief storyline then they wrote songs, lyrics, made MVs, notes in CDs, photos, webtoons, books/diaries, and social medias to provide hints and tracks to follow (part of the reasons they are not limited to musical genre, they have a "story" to tell). And in this fictional story, it covers topics almost on everything like Social problems, cultural problems, psychological problems, ability of self-reviews etc to ultimately "only Self-Love can save yourself." in fact this concept did save a lot of people who discovered their musics and part of the reasons their songs are so long lasting to listen to.

My mind was blown the first time I watched an explanation video about the BU. What fucking genius decided early on to embed an alternate storyline inside of all of their content? I used to think Kevin Feige was clever with the MCU, but nah, BigHit blows him away.

I think they took the word 'alternative' literally, as in 'what if we weren't BTS'. Not that their stories align, but their characters are the same, their names (until antis wreaked such havoc that the fictional characters have different names now, which was never a problem before), and I think they portray the 7 greatest problems the youth faces, and highlighting them. That was the core of their YOUTH series. So, they are not personal experiences, but what they saw around them. What If's... Depressed and struggling themselves, but not disillusioned, and trying to help and bring hope and strength with all they have. 💜 PS: The MCU is purely fictional, right? But the BU is built on their actual characters, thoughts and feelings, it just didn't happen like that. I think that's a big difference. I don't agree with people saying, that's it's all just made up. I think it's all about how they perceive the world around them and very much about themselves. 'We must survive.' YOUTH, FUTURE, HAPPY! Look at what's happening now in SK. It's not just work ethics, it's survival! Run, run, run! ( 19:03 ) RUNNING WILD! 🥳 I mean, it's not just purely for entertainment, they're actually trying to help! But instead of lecturing, they tell stories (BSH is a big bookworm, as is Namjoon), and it works! 🎉

Since the fathers aren't great in this story, and the girls all just fill a temporary void. Neither gives them what they need, so they miss their friendship. It's all about the conundrum of who to become. LOVE YOURSELF! Only when you love yourself, as an individual, can you love others. But they weren't there yet, back then. Of course, most of what happens there is not okay! But I think that's the point. Everyone's story is so intrically told, that you can understand where they are coming from and why they need to do what they do. I wouldn't know what to believe is real or not real about him, and therefore I wouldn't know whether I actually liked the real him or just the version of him he presented to me by reading my book.
