coldplay didn't go at the a-hole directly but they retweeted the official post for the performance and captioned it '아름다운' which is 'beautiful' in korean. they also shared it on their youtube community page with the same caption. 7 months later 'my universe' was released so they let the collab speak for itself.

Yes it's racism and xenophobia but at its core it's misogyny. It's okay and even funny and hip to make fun of what young girls like ( never mind that a large group of the fans aren't even young girls) . You know what else young girls pioneered, The Beatles and Elvis. But now that mainly middle-aged white men are fans of those two acts they're considered the best to ever do it. Respect young women!

Coldplay kept quiet because by this time, they had their collab in the works which was a secret. It was a bigger clapback to just drop their music together. And this is why The Astronaut is such an important song. Jin calling Coldplay "hyungs", flushes all the hate away.

They did a collab with BTS and also Chris went on a show where they were sayng these same things and totally defended BTS. Saying how great they were, even when the host tried to speak of the legacy of Coldplay in compatison ( ie suggesting that they deserved honouring and had put in the work) Chris Martin said how hard working BTS is and he even thought that BTS had more albums than Coldplay.

Coldplay quoted the performance calling it beautiful, they couldn't say much at the time because of the collab that was coming. I'm sure they showed support privately as well because they have a wonderful relationship with the boys, specially Jin, they got to know about their enlistment plans before anyone from the public or the government knew anything about it, they went out many many times together, and Chris and the band always talk lovely things about them!

+ Coldplay have said numerous times that they feel protective over BTS and that they're brothers even tho both groups come from the opposite sides of the world and they don't speak the same language. Like coldtan are so special to me🥹🫶 im so happy and relieved BTS have Coldplay as a positive influence to look up to in terms of longevity and how to continue being a team for as long as Coldplay have and that it's possible for BTS too. That can be their future as well even recently from Jins weverse interview (or was it the Vogue one🤔🤔 lolol cant remember but you get me) he talked about how in the future they can all bring their families with them on tour, like Coldplay has been doing. Like the future is bright and the sky is the limit for them. After they're officially and finally (god bless!!) done with the military they're gonna be unstoppable. They're not gonna have anything hanging over their heads or people/institutions trying to take advantage of them (at least i hope not,,,kmedia, k government, politicians and the like, better stay away from them and their families like im tiredddd!! And i know the tannies are too i need everyone to leave them alone)

Don't apologise for your reaction that's what a reactor should do! Unfortunately, I have met racist and xenophobic people in the 3 countries I've lived and worked in (Australia, Germany and Scotland), and it sickens me how small minded and bigoted some people can be. I often hear 'How can you listen to or like something when you don't speak the language?' I'll just try to find an English translation if I'm really grabbed by a song! Anyway, I always find your videos entertaining! 💜 PS I love how you throw in some Scottish colloquialisms. It's awfy guid ye ken!! 😂

Lived through the Beatles and the Stones, Elvis, the Beach Boys, the Jackson 5, the Osmonds, Fleetwood Mac, the Boss Bruce Springstein, etc etc but BTS are the first artist I would say I am a dedicated fan. The question about their gender preferences is sensitive because these people are private and prefer to have some sort of normalcy. ARMYs' policy is "If you saw BTS out in the wild, no you didn't" because we let them be with their friends, family and loved ones in peace. So that question was invasive of their personal life, which wasn't gonna fly.

02:48 the thing is.. they genuinely do not consider him/them handsome, because they cannot objectively judge. All these people have very preconceived notions of masculinity and will not understand anything that deviates from those standards. Look at their comparison.. they chose Idris Elba as the appropriate candidate of this list, a man who oozes testosteron, because that's the only thing they identify masculinity with.. a beard, big muscles, you know.. "manly" traits.. Same with the ones at 10:20.. they say "looks like a boy, not a man", because clearly they know in advance and categorically what a "man" looks like ( and they even say it, they expected George Clooney or Brad Pitt.. :)) ). I don't know.. that's why I don't watch TV.. Hello again! long time since I've been here!

As an Army from Poland, I’m deeply ashamed that such hateful individuals can be found in my country. But here’s an interesting fact: older people here can either be the sweetest people ever or the nastiest scoundrels-there’s no in-between. And those street interviews are biased because they choose who to air. In this case, they probably selected people they thought were funny. At least that one host said that Kookie has beautiful eyes. Anyway, I haven’t watched TV in many years, but I assume that in 2025/26, when BTS is succeeding left and right and going on tour, they’ll be mentioned on TV again, and they definitely won’t repeat their mistake, haha.

This mindset is the reason that genres like Jazz that dominated the music world, r&B etc have gone by the wayside. Celebrity culture takes priority over music and beats and electronic sounds take priority over lyrics and organic instruments. The listener is now like lemmings being led by trends and basic music. I blame the music companies who now determine the music the artist makes for the masses. Very few artists break through that like BTS and now people don’t understand them. It’s really funny that in the world of google where we can access information so easily, people are more ignorant and have no motivation to research when it’s that easy to look things up. The irony that you like to listen to music but don’t want to explore music’s diversity is not lost on me added to which if you by chance do research other genres, you then want to box that music into small niche music like ‘jazz should only be in a jazz bar/lounge’. Sad that a lot of genres are listened to by so few and that lyrics also are being put tot the side for viral catchy music. BTS are showing you that they are the exception to the rule doing multi genres, lyrics with messaging and still throwing in the typical English pop/boyband music as well. As RM once said hate is the fuel to success and the boys are living their lives on their terms no matter what.
