I heard some guys didn't like that Harley Quinn... a metahuman who has fought Batman many times, survived the Joker and is on the Suicide Squad... took out some cops. They said it was unrealistic for her to do it so easily. This character... who started off as a cartoon villain in the animated series.

birds of prey focuses on harley quinn reclaiming her self ownership whereas suicide squad was shot and directed in a way that appeals to the male gaze, meaning that the target demographic was intended to be heterosexual men. this is also very evident in the cinematography (really recommend looking into that, its truly fascinating) which many male fans caught on and identified as new age feminist bullshit

Sadly we never got a version of this from that scene in the film with the line "He's lost in the wilderness, lost in the bitterness, lost in the lonliness, he's lost." This film came out on my father's 10th anniversary of his unexpected passing, so to say it was bittersweet is an understatement. Glad I was able to "celebrate" in a way with this film, and take time away from my studies with family and something fun like this. No clue who will see this, but thanks to all involved.
