Im a brown guy, so i have a ton of restrictions and almost everything i do in life has to have permission from my parents. SO I asked my parents if I could go to prom, and they asked who I was goign with. I told them that I was only going with some of my best guy friends (a complete lie) and they surprisingly said yes, when in actuality I asked a girl out to prom in which she said yes as well. So on prom day, I picked her up from her house and took her to the prom venue where we partied and had fun... guess who else was there? My dad. He saw everything; us holding hands, hugging, and worst of all... the slow dance. As I was leaving prom, (completely unaware that my dad was there the whole time) we make eye contact and he said "I'll be waiting for you at home". Im in High school and what sucks is relationships are everywhere. My Parents constantly tell me no dating, no talking to girls as more then just friends, and the speech about you're gonna marry a nice Desi girls. It sucks. I constantly hide that I talk to girls, that If im going on a date or hanging out with a girl I tell them im hanging with a friend, especially recently because its summer I say its a graduation party or something. Usually movie with my friends covers it. Its so hard to date in high school. I hope its better for me in college but damn desi parents suck.

Desi Parents and VIDEO GAMES. Like talk about the struggle to play violent video games, or even just playing video games in general. My parents aren't desi, but it was a real struggle for me. I had to find so many different tactics in order to play without getting caught or to buy "M" rated games when I was under 17. Nice vid by the way!

Balazs Korpassy My parents don't really care if the games are play are M rated. But my dad REALLY disapproves of me playing games at all. Whenever he's around I don't play games, and if I play it risky I quickly turn off the TV when I hear him coming up the stairs and grab a book. The times I do get caught I get yelled and told that I should be studying in advance for stuff. My mom still shows some disapproval but she is more lenient :p
