Urdu is native to both native to India & Pakistan, while Hindi is more unique and spoken mostly in India and originated entirely in India. Although both Hindi and Urdu originated from India. Hindi originates from Sanskrit and uses few words from Old Persian before Persian became heavily influenced by Arabic (Since Hindi is an Indo-Aryan & Indo-Iranian language) & very few Arabic words due to the small Muslim influence in India. While Urdu originated from Delhi & Uttar Pradesh due to Islamic kingdoms & after the end of those kingdoms it mostly remained with a minority of Indians, while heavily remained in Pakistan. Although I do agree that Hindi is the original form of Hindustani & uses the original script of the language & mostly original words, and Urdu was formed due to Middle Eastern influence.
