I've been playing since I was a young kid. When I was 15, lost forefinger and middle finger to a table saw accident on my left hand losing any ability to chord. One day, I turned the strings upside down and ended up chucking my guitar across the room. A few months later, I bought another. It was not an easy task to learn to play left handed but I finally began to see some progress after a very frustrating year and half and several (thankfully) inexpensive guitars. The challenge actually made me a better guitarist. Of course, I'm not as good as I would be with all 10 digits but I don't think I'd have ever gotten as good as I am if I hadn't lost them. This is my kind of music and what I play. I also follow the picking method of James Taylor. Please keep up this fine thing you're doing and thank you. I play around with everything I see you post and made alot of it my go to music when I'm sitting around with the family. Or alone and need to relax. You're the best

I think part of the reason why this chord progression is so pleasant is that its the common "4 chord" progression but starting on a different chord than normal. If we take the common I-V-vi-IV chord progression and play it E major (which is the relative major scale of C# minor) we get Emaj-Bmaj-C#min-Amaj. If we play that progression starting on the vi, or C#min in this case we get C#min-Amaj-Emaj-Bmaj which is the chord progression in the video. A very pretty spin on the common 4 chord progression
@tushar84052 жыл бұрын
This is a common minor progression (I VI III VII). Nothing 'spin-y' about it. It is the melodic beauty that he has created within this chord progression, which makes it absolutely beautiful!

something I noticed from the footage can be used as a tip and might help many beginner guitarists (Like me) is that the nails of the hand that Marco use to pluck strings are long (as it makes it easier) and the nails on the hand used for pushing the strings down on the neck are trimmed (again as it makes it easier)

I've been playing for like 8 moths or so I don't "practice" everyday, I just play what I already know and try to explore different variations, techniques, improvisations and scales I learned this song today. I needed like 2 hours or so (nonstop) to get every part right and even discover variations along the way. Now I will probably need a few days or even weeks to play it with flow and accurately. So, in my conclussion, this is appropriate for begginers. Today I just had one of those days, you know,,, I even tried to learn DIABLO 2 - TRISTAM song, and that's not for beginners, hope you can see the difference. I'll need weeks to get it right. And years to flow it with that fingerstyle... (notice the gap lol) Thanks you a lot Marco ♥ Ps.: It's well explained also. But you will need to repeat it or slow down the video. Just copy his fingers. It's like 2 strings at a time so if you find trouble in playing it slow, you're doing something wrong. We all do. Just notice it. Also playing it slow like an epic ambient soundtrack helps *UPDATE:* I totally learned both parts and even lots of variations and I can play them seamlessly. Cause I practiced this song every day
