@@honey.vanity I guess, but that doesn't feel like a good enough explanation for why they even changed the visuals to match. And many people liked madols just fine because it was a reference to the magic dollars from a Disney event and it matched the overall everything of twisted Wonderland because of that. What the hell are thaumarks and how did they come up with that name anyway? It's not related to any Disney franchise or movie as far as I'm concerned. Plus, changing vocal to song was just unnecessary and redundant.

@@justwonderinqrache5847 I guess they came up with thaumarks to make twisted wonderland feel like another world. Japanese people aren't used to dollars so madol=magic dollars makes sense, but the US and Canada use dollars so madol wouldn't give a sense of unfamiliarity. Thaumark is made up of the words thaumaturgy which is the act of performing magic and mark which is a European currency, so it feels foreign. Though I'm still mad they changed vocal to song and the unique magics, those are really unnecessary.

there's a reason why the names of the signature spells don't match up to what they're saying!! there's a reddit thread that explains this really well but in short: in the JP version there's a certain way each signature spell is written - what the spell is supposed to mean (in normal kanji + hiragana) and in smaller text above that is what the characters are actually saying outloud (written in katakana, i.e. the english you can hear and how the spell supposed to be pronounced). the twst EN translators chose to translate the kanji and hiragana part of the spell bc often it will have different meanings to what is said out loud, and sometimes the spell's spoken name won't make sense to a native english speaker. rough explanation but I hope it helps! and I would lay down my life for the twst EN localizers bc I love love everything they've done with the dialogue sm

So I heard another possible reason of why they took out the Yahoo song was because Neige's VA management(?) didn't want they use his voice in USA or something. I am a bit disappointed, but I can think of different reasons of why they can't show the song, which is why I am not mad.

Twst is made by Aniplex even if it has a name of Disney, but both are different when it comes with copyrights.
