Just a Friendly Reminder Why the USED Volkswagen Passat SEL Premium Tdi Diesel is such a Great Pick!

So here's a TDi Passat for sale at my store and once again I'd like to show you it and tell you why its a great choice if your in the market for a used sedan. We sold this one the next day after I filmed it, but we do have several more at the store available and we do our best to buy them when we see them at the auctions etc.

I love diesels, but I don't recommend them for most people. A lot of people only drive short trips, about 5 miles at a time or less. For them I'd recommend a gas, hybrid, or electric. Diesel's that are 2007 and newer have DPF systems that require an extended drive every now and then to regenerate. Overwhelming a DPF and lead to its failure and DPFs are expensive, much more than the catalytic converter on a gas counterpart. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against diesels, I love them, but I think that they're best suited for certain people, those who frequently drive extended trips will realize the greatest benefits that diesels have to offer. One of my friends is a real estate agent, and some of the properties that he shows to potential customers are well over 100 miles from here. He has a VW Passat and loves it. When my sister was in the hospital, one of the nurses gave me a ride back to my car (it was parked at a hotel), he told me that he was a student, an intern, and lived some distance away, he loved his RAM with a diesel engine. While I'm sure that a RAM is an excellent vehicle for heavy hauling/towing, I'm not sure if it's a good commuter vehicle, but he loved it.

I'm looking at a 2014 Passat TDI. I've read a ton & love the price & features -- just not sure about the diesel & some of the more expensive costs that come with a VW ... Car looks amazing!
