So glad you're back, my friend!! You were greatly missed. I have went on a hiatus distilling, but am more than ready to get back going. My interpretation of a Peated Pennsylvania limestone spring water, single malt barley spirit(I say a scotch style Pennsylvania single malt) was my last production. 60% peated malt barley and 40% pale ale malt barley, finished with glycerin and aged in a once used 3 liter bourbon barrel and it turned out soooo well. Slightly smoky, with the pleasant notes know in a decent scotch. I had one aficionado say he'd pay $100 a bottle, minimum at the liquor store for something similar to mine. That was music to my ears, especially when it was my first try, 3 years into the hobby. George, its no doubt that my many successes were because of your sage and sound advice!! I will always count you as a great friend, even though we've never met. Godspeed, to you!!

Great to see you back. I normally put the methanol from another batch in the 3 piece bubbler. It keeps the bugs out. And even if a little gets in the fermenter, It will come out during distillation.
