Outstanding job by all the regular and guest vloggers. Jobs well done. Bark goes out to little Rusty for jumping in to chase the plane and of course drive the Tiny Tot with Peter.

So great to see what goes on behind the scenes to get everything ready for harvest. I did a bit of part time work for a farmer and gently advised him to keep a notebook with him to jot down things that needed doing to different pieces of equipment, mainly because when I went to help him out the next time, the same problems were there because he had forgotten about them. Now with the notebook, he hadn't forgotten the problem, it had been fixed and everything went well. Besides all that, you guys are the backbone of our country and thanks to all of our farmers for what you do!

back in 96 it stayed wet for 4 months straight, it would just crust off enough to drive around and then it would rain again, it was that wet in the field that it started growing mold. not long after this we had a bloke trying to do some stick raking , instead of saying it was too wet he keeps at it for a few hours and then said it wasn't doing a good job, it took 2 days with crow bars to get the rake unclogged . sometimes it's just better to not make a mess.

Chamberlain 4480 120 Hp Turbo JD Sarin motor. The French JD motor had its share of problems. Pretty tough tractor and they gave good service if they were looked after and lot of parts are getting hard to get now. Mostly Australian by John Deere. They are getting old now though, that one is from about 1978. Jeff

You're all bloody good at filming and explaining. I reckon you could put out a video a day if you had the time to edit as well. Maybe there's another family member who could edit some of the time? Cheers all.

I have a mate that used to take his Jack Russell with him on the dozer. He became so accustomed to all the noise and vibration that, one day when he was on the ground, he failed to take notice of the machine backing up towards him. It didn’t end well.

Another great video from my number one channel. 🏆🥇interesting the crop duster is working and your expecting 40mm of rain the next day. Doesn’t the rain affect the type of spray?
@thejacksonbrothers2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Duncan, with this particular spray it has a pretty rapid effect on the grubs so rain won’t affect it👍

Hey Matt was all your country full of rocks or just the development block. Does the rock picker do a good job picking up the ones the boss man on the D4 leaves behind
@thejacksonbrothers2 жыл бұрын
Hi John, the main farm was covered in rocks but in the 80’s a lot of it was raked into rock banks which were all picked up a few years ago now. We did hire a similar rock picker before we bought ours which did a great job!👍

Matt! Take a look at Olly AGRI contracts video from yesterday, he's not for the first time grown a summer barley after winter barley here in England which is a second crop in the same year. I know it's done in America but I don't know to what extent. I was wondering if you think it was possible to grow two crops in one year?
@thejacksonbrothers2 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert, it is possible but we don’t grow summer crops usually as it provides less stubble cover which isn’t a good thing in the storm season when erosion is an issue👍
@roberthiggins64012 жыл бұрын
@@thejacksonbrothers Your winter doesn't get cold enough that the crops go dormant and that's what allows you to harvest in spring? So in effect, if you were in the UK you're growing spring crops? It's making sense now. I thought harvest came round quick last year but thought I was being stupid.

Wow! Either the editor was on point or the lads were well behaved. Lord knows what would be on the camera if I asked my brothers to film while I’m away…, 😉

Bogged in black soil! As I remember one of the other issues was mud off the wheels (lot of it) sticking in the wheel arch forming to the wheel shape. Not such a problem on a straight track but when you wanted to turn..... No turn! Effect was worst with just enough rain after dry. The joys of black soil country and rain. The guys proved you really don't need Matt to create content.... Rough? but content..... What more do you want?
