Much less often than you’d think!😅 especially in the summer with hotter air masses it can really be off unless you compensate and help it alot!

Isn't it so amazing to have such wonderful technology today that can take the aircraft to within 500 ft elevation of the runway with ILS in any condition. And that's to take nothing away from the skill of the pilot to take it the rest of the way in safely.

It can go much lower than that and even land itself if the conditions are right!
