Craig ‘bloody’ Ferguson ! [brilliant, Sarah Smith must have had a vast contact list]

Three one-hit wonders here, and at least one in the previous upload. I wonder why they didn't do any more.

It was a hallmark of Sarah Smith's era as producer (1992-1994) that she tended to try out Paul Merton's alt-comedy contemporaries as one-off guests without really following up on them. It wasn't until Anne Jobson took over in 1995 that a few started to get further appearances alongside new debutants. It's a mystery why some returned while others (often very promising) didn't, but I suspect the comedian's own willingness & availability, especially as some had gone on to TV fame in the meantime, was a major factor.

Merton adds more smut than wit. I don't know why people laugh at it - I don't find it clever or appealing. JAM went down hill with the passing of Kenneth Williams and the more times Freud, Nimo and Jones were absent.

Peter Jones was always my favourite, quietly witty and never smutty.
