Just A Minute Tesla Feature - No Instrument Cluster

Some people criticise Tesla for not providing instruments in front of the driver. But could this actually be a benefit ?

I like having an instrument cluster. I don't like having to look to the center to see my speed and other things.

If it were a benefit they wouldn't put an instrument cluster on the more expensive Models S and X.
