Sue Perkins (and incidentally Giles Brandreth and Stephen fry) are the best players of this game by far. Look how quickly Sue came up with the fencing image of a person 'dressed as a beekeeper/mummy and holding a knitting needle in one hand and doing a teapot arm with the other'. So quick and so funny, while also keeping within the rules of the game. She's great.

Actually, Paul Merton is the best player overall (by a reasonable margin), having won 58% of the episodes he was on. Gyles is at 51% and Stephen Fry has won 48% (but he often "cheats" by saying the same thing in English and French - a loophole in the rules, I guess). Sue has won 35% of her episodes. Sue is quite good at going the whole minute without being interrupted, though. She's done it in 21% of her appearances. Gyles has done it in 14% of his, while both Merton and Fry have only done it in 7% of theirs.

RFC3514 where do you get this information from??
@antster19836 жыл бұрын
There is a fansite dedicated to the show with all sorts of information, including episode guides, show transcripts, biographies and statistics (and Nicholas was kind enough to mention it in his book about the show) - just-a-minute.info/

sue is awesome, and one of my favorite people on just a minute, but I do have to say when she was going on about fencing she repeated instead.
@TheTradge3 жыл бұрын
There are always repetitions that go unchallenged, that's just part of the game, it's up to the other three players to pick up on repetitions, hesitations and deviations, and they don't always manage this successfully.

We need David Mitchell to make his appearance on this game!
@antster19836 жыл бұрын
David Mitchell has done the radio show a couple of times.

He is my favorite on any panel show.

You should listen to the show on radio 4, there's a whole array of panellists such as Ross Noble, Russell Kane, Holly Walsh, Alun Cochrane, Jack Dee, Sheila Hancock, Joe Lycett, Dara O'Briain, pretty much anyone you could think of who's ever been on HIGNFY, Mock the Week, etc has featured on JAM, it would probably be easier to list the comedy names who HAVEN'T featured on the show at least once =)

pinger |ˈpi ng ər| noun a device that transmits short high-pitched signals at brief intervals for purposes of detection, measurement, or identification. I felt like I had to find out:)

Can you imagine trying to do this game anyway without someone potentially snoring?!!

In my fair country of Australia, a 'pinga' is a fairly common term for an ecstacy pill. I think I know what the panel is gonna get up to when the cameras stop rolling.
