That intermediate steering shaft looks familiar . . . . and the tink tink on the header tube, I recognize that sound! Don't know how attached you are to the power steering, I'd just ditch that and go to a manual steering box. The steering shaft though, that's gonna be a pain no matter which way you go. Either way keep on keepin on, and if you get to frustrated fighting that stuff, move to something easy with fun results for a week or two, recharge the motivation batteries. BTW, when I started to do an LS on my S10 some many years ago, the motor mounts are what brought that project to a grind halt. So your definitely not alone in that issue. Maybe some day I'll put that truck back together . . .
