Seems like something involving "tower transformation" effects is holding on to a stale reference (holding a reference to an object that got deleted or cleared for reuse). Now whatever happens to find its way into the "empty" location (in this case some other towers that happened to be placed during transformation) is now incorrectly updated. Oftentimes updated in ways that the new object was never supposed to be updated. Hence really broken behavior. A classic use-after-free bug; though probably no arbitrary code execution potential since BTD6 seems to be using an EAV type model and it is the entity (usually not more than a numeric ID) being stale referenced. Also, it is written in C#, a managed language. An entity's ID or the "ID of thing I should update" being incorrectly overwritten (aka. corrupted) could cause this too.

By my understanding, it seems like this glitch allows a Dart monkey to become “soul linked” with any other tower. Only the Dart Monkey is linked with the Secondary tower and which itself is not linked with the Dart Monkey. Yeah this is definitely a Game-breaking bug. Cause if a dart monkey is somehow soul linked to a different tower, the game will treat the other tower as the Dart Monkey that it just so happens to be the tower that’s linked to it, allowing non-dart monkey towers to join the super/plasma monkey fan club and gain RIDICULOUS Attack Speed, allowing towers to deal Ridiculous damage, especially when paired with PMFC. The Dart Monkey Soul-linking glitch seems to work best with Super-Mines considering it’s Sluggish Attack Speed but Ridiculously High Damage per Mine! With Sun Temples however, crazy stuff happens if you upgrade the dart monkey, especially to a 2-2-0. This glitch also works with Tier 5 Towers as well, therefore the late game can be pushed A LOT Farther thanks to this glitch.

This is my explanation with a bit of testing.I dont understand it fully but he starts with dart monkeys and transforming tonic and while the tonic is active spams boomerang monkeys in hopes that for some reason the a boomer and dart become connected. It's more likely for that to happen If you spam many towers I think. You see that they're entanglelt when you click the dart monkey and a boomerang also gets a white outline. And now when you use the fanclub ability the boomerang or other connected tower gains the insane attack speed. Hope this helps :). Edit: it seems from my testing that you need to activate the transformation twice but maybe I was just unlucky. This works with other towers too I didn't test every one but I alot of them work. Towers without projectiles don't work. And if you try to supermonkey fanclub a 0-0-0 supermonkey it crashes the game on mobile lol. Makes sense since it's trying to convert a super into a super wich fucks up the code seemingly.

As i tested, in my view how it works (and i am not english man, some sentences may be unreasonable and stupid) (Any things used in this explanation can be just my imagination) I thing every placed tower have thair tag or number. And as i saw and used in sandbox, that worked for me only after 2 transformations consistently and almost instantly. Alchemist have transformed back earlier than other towers in ability. And second transformation can broke dart's tag or number and after placed some any towers it taked number that not used, but it used transformed monkey that wasn't with number in transformetion. After transformation game counted monkey as number was before transformation and it backs. Now you have 2 towers used one number. But idk why only one tower takes upgrade from other and special effects.

you place an 050 alch and 5 darts then activate the ability and wait for it to end then activate it again and spam the monke you want to make op then if you press on the dart monke the monke you made op will have an outline when you select it and then place another dart with 050 and activate the ability and the op tower will shoot crazy fast
