Nice neat job. When ever i replace a brick, i use a tuck pointer to fully fill the joint above the brick. Not essential on a single brick but would be on replacing toothing out. Well done.

Best one brick replacement video. Would not have thought of hole filling the bricks with mortar. Would make a good competition in a single skin brick wall working only from the outside, but marking both sides and with points lost for mortar spilt down the virtual cavity at the back. Your dad can work out the exact scoring scheme?

Hi Mr Crompton new subscriber here from Los Angeles California I watched one of your videos (gothic arch) that was recommended to me because I was hunting for someone who would do bricklaying videos in my case I'm a bit more specific in my search and so far I haven't found that magic video the gothic arch though came close I'm on a project of building a brick window per say without the window instead I'll put rebars encrusted in to the bricks to block anyone from coming through either way but this brick work is going to be on a fence made of blocks we are living an opening to build the bricks and the shape the blocks to fit around the bricks; now having said all of that do you have in your repertoire of videos something like what I explained or at close to it if not you think this could be your next project video Thanks for the atencion and great awesome videos btw✌😊

2 questions young man, 1. How do go about matching up the mortar to pre-existing mortar and 2. When removing the old brick how do you ensure you stop the existing brick/debris going down into the cavity. - thanks
