You have no idea how much power does asking the right question holds. In this video I spoke about how just one conversation with my colleague changed my mindset and made me believe that I can achieve something big all by myself.
I hope my story inspires you to dream big about yourself and work on your goals. I know I am yet to achieve my set goals but I am glad that at least I found my direction now.
Leave a comment if you could connect with this video and share it with someone who needs to hear this.

Here's a more detailed clarification that I missed adding in my video - I did Bcom in accounts and finance and by the age 20, I was a graduate! Worked with a leasing firm for 9 months and prepared for Bank PO/RBI assistant/SSC CGL/UPSC etc. Only clear pre and main of IBPS PO but couldn't crack the interview! I was 21 by then and I decided to pursue MBA! Even during MBA, I gave such exams but couldn't clear even a single exam! Meanwhile, tried my hands in different fields (choreography/modelling/wedding planning, etc). Did their 3month course and left everything in between! So after my post grad, i.e. by 23, I got placed in TCS! Hope the timeline is more clear now!

Stop being stereotype about IT industry. I work as a data scientist at Flipkart, earning pretty handsome amount and living with a pretty decent lifestyle. It's all about what kind of role and what kind of company you're working with. Opportunity is much much greater in product based companies. TCS is mostly a service based company which provides IT services to other companies.

I can see myself in you dude. I am 24 now, I am a comm grad, hated the degree. I was consistently avg in school. Same 60% 70% shizz. I did a job in sales and hated it and quit in 11 months. Started learning for MBA, and my math was bad, and thought of quitting MBA prep that I studied for what about 1.5 years or something? And the I thought about learning Front End, and stuff and that took 6-7 months and that didn't work out. Now I am doing something that I like, ie. 3D Animation and Game Art, for last 1.5 years and I got a job, decent 5lpa waali, but this is a very topsy turvy career, because isme market nahi hai, ki kal mai kisi aur naav mai kud ke pay increase kar saku. Merko kisine fir baadme meri aankhen kholi ye kehke ki, I have a not so gifted IQ, for tech jobs and jobs that require constant learning because inn sab mai jo elite toppers hote hai class ke wahi aage bad paate hai. It ain't like running a marathon like David Goggins, the goals that pay premium money in tech are made for gifted people. The fact, you mentioned about 60-70% marks is not your mistake. We try to work the same hard but some people learn 4 times faster than us Drishti. Ps. kindly ignore if I am wrong here, because the argument I am trying to make here is a bit sad and based on the "avg marks statistic" you mentioned in this video. Which if you understand, is the same case with me. The psychologist whose video I found relative to the problem was Dr. Jordan Peterson.
@premg062
@premg062 2 жыл бұрын
first of all kudos for not giving & trying so many things. don't talk yourself down, you don't need gifted IQ for tech jobs. i also felt same, we are more capable than we think we are. also i remind this quote to myself when i'm in doubt “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.”

You need to understand yourself first before you decide something for your life. Let me tell you how this work. People talk a lot about success and nowdays it is happening in every stream that this word 'success' really stinks for me. Reality is lot different that what we think. We always think that the grass is greener on the other side. But it is not. Maturity is realising wether you do job or you do something of your own. It doesn't make you more or less. Big organizations like TCS, Wipro, Infosys are impacting the world in a better way. And it is completely okay to be a little part of something so big. You might think your work doesn't matter and is replaceable. So is everybody's work. There is always a better youtuber, better singer, better blah blah than you. And it is okay. This ego of me me me is a cause of suffering. To sum it up. Kuch bhi bada karlo, koi badi baat nahi hai. What makes a person really happy is their relations, with their ownself ofcourse and with their beloved. If you doing job. You are not less than the person who is the founder of that company if your vision is as same as his. Think bigger than yourself. People who have choices are not really free. You might think i would get freedom by doing what i love. But when you feel pressurized by your own dreams then you understand this so called freedom is just a matter of perspective. Person who cannot do anything other than what they like is not really free. It's win win and lose lose situation and it depends on your mindset. Don't stress yourself. Just be smart in managing your finances and give all importance to your relations and your own growth. Read books, weither you hangout in a 5 star or tapri it doesn't matters. Just take care of your family, friends and yourself ❤

What an absolutely postive and insightful video. Loved it ❤️ Always wanted to start my YT channel and speak about sports, running, postive mindset. I have also thought of a name (Gyaan with Gaurav). This video encouraged me to do that. And you know what's funny i watched this video while going to my IT job at TCS 😬 Thanks a lot. Loving your content on all the platforms ❤️

Hello Drishti ma'am, I've been following you for past some times and it has added a greater value in my daily life. Inspired by you, I've started book reading and I'm just loving it. Currently I'm reading "Atomic Habits" and "The Mixer". Is it an apt approach to go through 2 books at a time??? Or should I focus on a single book? Lots of love from West Bengal ma'am. Thank you ❤️

"One must definitely earn after 28 years of age with whatever job" criteria is for those candidates whose parents are not supportive or there are financial issues or for those who are mentally weak at handling the criticism of people around (even the closed ones) See the formula is simple, If your family supports you and you are determined enough there is no point to unnecessarily go and earn just for the sake of being "independent" . The greatest misnomer of society is that money and job creates independence. Heck No! Clarity of purpose creates independence. Unshakable belief systems create independence. A supportive family creates independence. I've been reading and seeing this toxic trend a lot lately. This FOMO is sheer stupidity. If your family is financially supportive and sound plus you're determined single mindedly about your calling. NEVER QUIT on your pursuits.
