thanks for this tutorial. I wish you would spell the strum pattern out very, very detailed so I could get it! I just love this song. Either way, thanks!

Pluck 1&4 together then pluck 2 3 1. Repeat the 2 3 1 until the next chord change then repeat the entire pattern. I hope that clears it up for you. Thank you, it is a great song.
@wendym25443 жыл бұрын
@@stfesta so just to clarify......you're plucking the G and A string together at the beginning, and then plucking the E string, then C string, then A string. And you keep on plucking the A string, then the E string then the C string, until you change chords at which point you pluck the G and A string together again, and then repeat the other strings like you did previously. Thank you.

@@wendym2544 That is correct. If you would like, we can zoom this together. I have an account and I don't charge anyone anything. As long as you're playing ukulele, I am happy.

I wanted to learn this song on Ukulele and found your video. I think your video would have been so much better if you added a minute or so of practicing the pattern carefully and slowly for your viewers. I read some comments and that is the only way I was able to understand the picking pattern. Now I need to know which fingers you used to do it! I do appreciate the patience you showed in all your responses to people asking about the picking pattern. I was lost too!!!
@stfesta3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for you reply. For the picking pattern: Pluck 1&4 together then pluck 2 3 1. Repeat the 2 3 1 until the next chord change then repeat the entire pattern. For the fingers I use: Generically, I use my thumb to cover the 3rd and 4th string. I use my index finger to cover the 2nd string and I use my middle finger to cover the 1st string. I use this finger assignment all the time for every picking song. Seeing all of the comments, I do realize now that I may need to go back and add a little something to that video. It truly is a great song.

I Love this music. The chords are easy. Thank you so much. But the pluck on the stings... even in low I can't understand the pattern

Cristiane sorry for the confusion. Pluck 1&4 together then pluck 2 3 1. Repeat the 2 3 1 until the next chord change then repeat the entire pattern. I hope that clears it up for you. Thank you, it is a great song.

@@stfesta ok, thank you so much. I am still watching you in Slow motion to see your fingers. This is the best version of this music in ukulele. 🙌

Thanks for this video, Just breathe is one of my favorite songs. One question, is the ukelele tunned GCEA?
@stfesta4 жыл бұрын
Samuel Chavarría yes but I play a low g. It’s one octave lower which gives it a natural flow to the C string. Thank you for watching.

Almost helpful... not sure why you say you use pima and then don't actually use it to describe what you're doing. Thanks for the effort though.

Jared Stiff I mentioned PIMA for completeness. I wish someone would have mentioned it to me prior to me learning something incorrectly on my own. Thanks for watching.
