You just saved me with this one. My dying cousin (ALS), asked me to play this song at his funeral - but on UKE! I told him we’d make it happen and then I found this 😍 Thank you Ryan!

This made me buy a ukulele I can actually play. I only had a cool old soprano Koa uke from Hawaii, but it is so tiny I can’t play songs like this. Now I am armed with a brand new one that is way cheaper but easy to play, and I am getting this down!
@RyanLendt3 жыл бұрын
funny how that works right? more expensive doesn't necessarily mean better. good luck Tomas!

6/30/20. Hey Ryan, I’m in shock over the news that Benny Mardones passed away. I spent the last week thinking about making a video about him, and now he’s gone. I read that he was in a nursing home and loved letters written to him. I was thinking about calling him at the nursing home, thinking he may be lonely, even though he has a wife. But I was wondering why the wife had him in a nursing home, that’s why I was thinking he may be lonely. But I read he died at home yesterday, but last week I had the name of some nursing home he was staying at. In the 80s, 34-year-old Benny Mardones made a video with a girl that looks 16 and he was making-out with her in the video after her dad told him “ She’s just 16-years-old, leave her alone.” The music video is called “Into The Night”. This song is a top 25 all-time hit on the radio. It’s funny that a song with a 34-year-old man making- out with a 16-year-old girl is such an all-time hit. I wanted to talk to Benny about this song, and sometime soon I was going to try and contact him, but he passed away. I was thinking of Benny Mardones so much this past week, and when I check on him today, I find out he passed away yesterday, June 29, 2020. I thought about calling him last week, but I wanted to think a little bit about what to ask him. I’m stunned that he’s gone. God Bless Benny Mardones. Take care, Ryan.

i know how you feel. i wanted to ask Shawn Smith to do a track with me, and I learned shortly after he died that all I had to do was send him an instagram message and hire him to do so and he would have. Pretty much my one regret in life not diving deeper into figuring that out :(

Hi Ryan this is an awesome tutorial. Thank you! Anything you can share on strum pattern? I figured out the verse, but it seems like you're switching for prechorus and/or chorus? Thanks!

hmmmmm I don't recall - I'm doing it in my head right now and if I were to do it right now i'd keep the strumming pattern the same throughout. Try that and report back :)
