Thank you to the musicians that have given us these wonderful moments, words, and melodies to Klingon to when times get rough. ❤

For all of us who have seen the video (on KZbin, btw) of Lucas and Willie’s version of this beautiful song, written by Eddie Vedder, you know it can’t be beat. I have never been able to watch it and not cry. This is a good version. Lucas sounds so, so much like his dad on this one. What a gift. Two different guitar styles here, however they are both so talented and respectful of each other’s talents that it works. As far as I know, Eddie Vedder has never professed that he’s a great guitarist. His brilliance as a musician is glaringly apparent in his writing and vocals. I really don’t give a flying fig about his politics or’lack of Grace?’ He can perform with anyone you put in front of him and do it well. I have seen only humility when he collaborates with other artists. I have seen both of these men separately, live, many times. Funny, Willie and Lucas own this song? They don’t record junk. Lucas Nelson and Eddie Vedder have different musical style’s but they are so professional they make this work. Regarding the guitars, keep your eye on Lucas Nelson.

I have always liked this song. But hearing it like this with the tone of Lukas who sounds like his father, was over the top

I have been a Pearl Jam fan since I moved to Seattle in ‘88. And I have spent most of that time in West Seattle. I have never seen them live but always wanted to. Finally bought a ticket to their Las Vegas show in 2021 (?) at MGM and they cancelled because the back up drummer (to the original dummer had COVID) got COVID. Am I ever going to get a break?
@drink2mny2 ай бұрын
I hope you do. I first saw them in Seattle in 2018. I had been waiting since the 90’s to line up a show. I went military for 23+ years and always gone/deployed when they would tour near home.

lukas playing his picking version over eddies travis-style picking pattern doesnt really match up too great but they were figuring out how to blend them after a little bit, it was nice

Nice to see some of the rough edges of arrogance and self aggrandizement being polished off of Eddie. Even someone as narcissistic as him can flirt with Grace. Encouraging.
